I've heard rumors of a possible deal to bring him here. He's in the last yeat of his contract, and comes very cheap. He can defend well and knock down the 3. Would you make the move and give up James Johnson? Maybe trade a 2nd rounder? I would.

Maybe he can bring his sister along to fill the rebounding void left with Noah out?

Have you seen her box (out)?

I would rather keep Bogans in the rotation. That really isn't an upgrade.

I disagree. Defensively they are pretty much a wash. Parker can defend, and he can probably do a better job against bigger guards. Offensively I think he's a much better option though. When he played with Lebron, he was always a threat to knock down the open 3. He would excel in this offense, and be a better fit than Bogans. He's struggled this year in Cleveland because he just doesn't get the open looks anymore. Those open looks would definitely be there if he were traded to the Bulls.

If they only need to give up a 2nd rounder to make this happen, I would do it in a heartbeat. If the trade doesn't workout, you stick him at the end of the bench and let him walk after this season. There really isn't anything bad that could happen because of this potential deal.

He wouldn't get anymore respect than Bogans is receiving for his outside shot. Therefore he wouldn't spread the court either. The Bulls need a guy who's outside shot is feared or a guy that can score. I would rather they bring in J.R. Smith than Parker. Also I he isn't as good defensively as Bogans IMO. I still believe starting Korver (same guy that's usually on the floor at the end of games) would be the best way to go. They aren't going to get a guy that can really be a difference maker now. Why give away assets for a guy like that? Wait until the summer and sign or trade for a better option.

Edit: Stephen Jackson gives a great reason why Korver should start and the reason why Coach T usually has him on the floor at the end of games.

"You can't leave him open," the Bobcats' Stephen Jackson said. "Everybody knows he can't do anything else but shoot."

I don't want Anthony Parker due to his age. Dude is gonna be 36 in a few months. Guards don't grow old gracefully in the NBA.

I'm not saying the Bulls should hang onto him. But for a rent-a-player for the rest of the season he would be a decent option. And it would only cost them a 2nd round pick.

If you can shoot, you can hang around and A Parker can shoot. He is an upgrade from Bogans, especially in the shooting category, 3 pointers more specifically, which is his primary role.

Bogans and a 2nd rounder, I do that deal in a second!

and the rumor has been around for about a month, so I gotta figure there is some truth to it.

I'm guessing if an offer hasn't been accepted after months it probably isn't strong enough. Bogans is only in the league because of his defense. The Bulls coaching staff wants to start the game off strong defensively. When the game is on the line they put in Korver to spread the floor and knock down shot.

I think that Korver is exactly what you are looking for in Parker. If him and Brewer can secure all the playing time and phase out Bogans we would be better off than trading for some has been.

Are you saying that Korver = Parker? Parker is a much better defender. I would probably rate Parker as equal to Bogans defensively, but Parker can hit the big open shot more effectively.

No Im saying that Brewers defense and Korvers shooting make one hell of a shooting guard
