Way to go 46th. Couldnt have happened to a more humble piece of shit. You come on the air with Mully and Hanley and say you have won every award at the college level and people should know you can do it all. Blow me. You are 5'9 on a good day and will get it handed to you on a nightly basis. Oh, and by the way, I hope the thousands of fans that you say love you, had a great time at the come lick my sack party at Joes on Weed St. What celebrities showed up Dee? Did you maybe get R Kelly to come on out and piss on some people? Here is a lesson, shut the f uck up and learn to be humble. Be thankful anyone drafted you. Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now. |

Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now. Stay on your soapbox Greg, I couldn't agree with you more. This guy is gonna get humbled big time. Right before he was drafted, I was wondering what the comfort level at Joe's was. Goff had the line of the day, saying the first call Dee was gonna get was from Bob Cousy wanting his award back. |

Nothing makes me angrier than an ungratful little shit coming on the radio and spewing a bunch of "no doubts" & "you know man" & all that horseshit before telling everyone how great they are. Its called English, Dee, lets get a little grasp on it before you go shooting your mouth off on the radio. Go see your buddy Luther for how to act humble and respectable around draft time. |

Stop hating on the man because he is black and you can't understand what he is saying. Another example of a white man trying to hold a black man down. Don't you have better things to do Ed Asner? How was that a racial comment Nas. I believe he was a communications major with a very good GPA. I don't have any problem with him bragging. He earned those awards after four good years of service. The thing I could not believe is how few words I actually understood him say. I'd expect more from a man who excelled in his training in a particular field, regardless of race. Maybe TM was right about Illinois. |

Well of course I was, but Dee's case isn't evidence of this point. Did you ever hear Michael Eric Dyson or Cornel West speak? They're two of the most accomplished scholars in the fields of African-American and Cultural Studies--and teach at top-tier universities--but they don't exactly speak "perfect" English all the time. I've never heard anyone question their erudition as a consequence, though. |

The discussion was about ND. I acknowleged the inherent problem any state school has in being elite. |

Can we take this in another direction and talk about Stephen A. Smith. Was he really necessary. If Hood is the Black Mac, Smith is the white Sean. |

I thought Smith was pretty funny in the way he was doing a scorched-earth attack on Isaiah and the Knicks. Actually, the whole ESPN crew was hilarious in its assault on Thomas. Also amusing was the way Bilas, Patrick and Anthony reacted to Smith's screaming--they had this ho-hum attitude like he was just speaking in a normal tone and volume, as though there was nothing unusual about his whole manner. Overall I was pretty entertained by the first round coverage, although I don't think I learned much about the players drafted. I guess I'll have to rely on the NBA luminaries around here for that..... |

Here's what sucks for Dee and it is the injury he suffered last year working out in pre draft camps. Last year he was a late first rounder and this year he became a second round draft pick. He lost millions in garunteed money. |

Yeah in Vitale's world ain't that the truth. There was a pretty funny moment last night. Vitale was all blustery and babbling about how he had to go to bed, "I gotta sleep, I'm 67 years old baybee!", etc. Finally, Dan cuts him off midsentence and deadpans, "Dick, ok, you get to bed." It sounded like he was talking to his demented uncle at the home. And get Screamin' A. Smith the hell of of my television. |

I hadn't heard much of Greg Anthony until last night but he sounded great. Interesting thoughts and still critical when necessary. He has a hell of a career ahead of him methinks. |

Nas, just so you know, I was not being racist. I didnt say he was talking black or acting black or anything like that. I was more refering to the inability to understand a word of what he had to say. Trust me I have the same battle if Ozzie goes on a rampage or even some poorly spoken WHITE guys. I think that he is just representing himself poorly by coming on the radio and being completely incomprehensible. Plus I think he is an arrogant piece of shit. |

Seriously? He's still a 5' 9" point guard who can't shoot and can't run the point. He's lucky he got drafted at all. |

LOL @ his Jazz press conference, 'oh yeah, i can play both the 1 and the 2 ( ), I'd play the 3 but I think I'm a little undersized" Who the hell does he think he is? Funny to have both Mulligan and Hanley make fun of him the next day too, similar to the thread starter. Speaking of Screamin A: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAB5lOIl-2U |
