Just bought out by the Clip Show. Sounds like he might end up with the Bulls if he clears waivers. I don't think he is that much better than Bogans, but his name is cool. |

Only because I am waiting to see who they sign have I not started the hurt Bogans thread. He is really bad! How many open 3's can you miss ??? not to mention the alleged defense he plays is brutal. "Cas" as in Casual, is a good 3 point shooter and bigger than Bogans. My concern is why they released him....did he get old fast? 8th year???? |

Have you heard that the Bulls are specifically linked to him? What is his 3 point percentage? I know he's been around for awhile, but isn't he nearing the end of his career? I can't imagine signing him makes any difference at all other that just having another veteran on the end of the bench. |

No thanks. I would rather they just leave things alone. |

The report I heard had him signing with the Bulls. I read another that said he might see what other options are out there first. He is averaging like 5 points a game this year. He isn't very good. 31 years old or so. I think I heard his 3point percentage is somewhere around 35 for his career. |

He's just a mediocre bench player. Bogans is playing such a small role as it is, I don't want to add anybody to the mix that further divides the playing time for Brewer and Korver unless this player is either better than what they have or offers something different. |

Just got off the phone with my Bulls guy and the bigger 2nd guard is the focus, thus Butler is being talked to right now. Of course my Bulls guy called me to ask if he use my account to bet on Colin Firth on Bodog.com for best actor. Looked it up, and he is a -4000.00 Yes, lay $4000 to win $100. He passed. |

The Los Angeles Clippers have bought out Rasual Butler, and he plans to sign with the Chicago Bulls, a league source told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher. Butler must clear waivers before he can sign with the Bulls. Butler had the best scoring season of his career in 2009-10, averaging 11.9 points and 2.9 rebounds. This season he's averaged 5.0 points and 1.9 rebounds. Butler is making $2.4 million in the last year of his contract. |

I'm not saying he's a world beater, but Butler is a legit thick 6'7" and possibly could spell Deng at the 3. Give him the prorated veterans minimum, and let him rot in Thib's doghouse of he doesn;t play D. I think Brewer is just rounding into shape off his leg injuries, IMO Brewer/Tard/Rose should be the 3 guard playoff rotation, with Korver in to space the floor at the 3 when the Deng is catching a blow... |

This team is good, but the off nights, he has been the spark. The problem is Bogans in the source of too many non great starts. |

I don't think this hurts anything, but I also don't think it improves them at all. |

again, they want him as a starting 2 guard that can defend a bigger guard. My guy is pretty tight with Paxson and when I said I want a guy that can hit the open 3's that are open in the first quarter as everyone doubles Rose. While my guy agreed, they want Defense. |

Is your "guy" the Mully and Hanley show? Because they've been talking about the Bulls' desire to sign Butler since last Wednesday or Thursday. |

Just saw that Corey Brewer is a free agent after being bought out. I would take him over Butler any day. 6' 9" and has been known to knock down a 3 once in a while. |

It's official now. Sounds like Scalabrine is headed to the injured list with a broken heart. Quote: Free-agent forward Rasual Butler signed with the Chicago Bulls on Thursday and will be available to play on Friday against the Orlando Magic.
Butler was bought out by the Los Angeles Clippers late Sunday night and cleared waivers on Wednesday. The Bulls had considered trading for a shooting guard, but they were unwilling to part with Omer Asik or Taj Gibson, preferring instead to wait to see who was bought out. The Bulls don't intend for Butler or any new player to break into the starting lineup or even log major minutes, a source told Butler averaged five points in 18 minutes this season after averaging 11.9 points last season. A 6-foot-7 swingman, Butler, 31, has averaged 8.6 points a game in eight NBA seasons. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. |

Bogans 6. Gibson 7. Brewer 8. Korver 9. Asik 10. Thomas 11. Watson 12. Scalabrine/Butler I count 13 guys. Someone will need to go on the injured list (Only 12 guys can dress and be on the playoff roster). Unless there is a major injury, Scal is not going to be able to hoist the Championship Trophy. |
