He's gonna win it. He's 22.

MJ won his first in '88 when he was 25. Kobe didn't win his first until his late 20s. By the way, Kobe has played 15 years and only has one MVP. That's pretty amazing. Shaq didn't start winning his until his late 20s. Lebron was 24 or 25 when he won his first of back to back MVPs

Bird and Magic played 4 years of college, right? So they were 22 when they came in the league and I don't think they got it their first year.

Have you heard of Google? You can search and find this info out rather than just throwing random shit against the wall and hoping something sticks.

Cool. 23 is the record. Rose will break it. I predict that it will never be beat. I didn't realize Lebron was 23 when he got his first. I keep on forgeting how young he is. He's only 25.

I just broke a story. Nobody has thought about this. When he does win it, it will be mentioned by everybody, but I brought this to you before anybody else.

I didn't realize Lebron won the last two. There's no way the voters will give him 3 in a row. Barring some major injury or slump, Rose has it.

You're slipping.

No mention of race or Bernstein.

Lebron had the record at 23. Looking at their birthdays, Rose beats him by 10 months.

Please tell me that Beardown didn't just suggest he "broke a story" on a message board.

Providing this link from Sports Illustrated on Rose and his MVP stats. Story is decent, and there are some really good links on this story as well. Good junky stuff if you are interested.

Bump for a spot to drop a decent Rose article from NBA.com.

Not worthy of another thread, but interesting nonetheless. Saw something suggesting Rose was a liability at the line, and couldn't get to the line often enough. If you see it or hear it said, call bullshit.

-Rose now ranks 11th in free throw attempts for the year.
-Only Novitzki w/ 649 FTAs at .878 and K. Martin w/ 648 FTAs for .889 have taken more with a better shooting percentage than Rose's 532 FTAs for .859.
-Since January he is averaging over .890 for each month.
-So far April has been his best month coming in at .909 on 44 freebies.
-Since the AllStar break Rose is averaging 8.2 FTAs per game (3rd in league behind Howard and Griffin) with 204 total attempts at an .892 success rate.
-Since the AllStar break, only 5 other players have taken as few as 70 FTAs for a higher success rate than Rose. Augustin, Billups, K.Martin, Novitzki and DeRosen.

Nice to have those numbers on my team going into the playoffs.
