After last night's loss to Atlanta, have the Bulls screwed the proverbial pooch in terms of their chances at the #2 seed? Miami has one hell of a tough stretch here the next 10 games, including: Magic, Bulls, Lakers, Spurs, Thunder, Blazers, Grizzlies. 25 games left. |

Giving away games like the one last night is not going to help them get a better seed though. The next two games will be a pretty good indication of where this team will stand at the end of the year. The rest of the schedule after the Miami game is mostly not very difficult. |

The Bulls gave away that game to the Atlanta Hawks last night after leading for 47 minutes last night at Philips Arena. What should've been an easy road win was anything but, and if the Bulls don't get the #1 or #2 seeds, they better hope the New York Knicks move up in the Eastern Conference standings. Carmelo Anthony & Chauncey Billups appear to be gelling right away with their new teammates since the big deal with the Denver Nuggets, and guess what, Bulls fans? THE BULLS HAVEN'T BEATEN THE DAMN KNICKS THIS SEASON!!! They've got one more meeting with the Knicks in New York, but not until Tuesday, April 12th. There's a certain team knocking on the door, and that's the Philadelphia 76ers, who are a game and a half behind New York right now. I know one of the Bulls' road clunkers came in Philadelphia, but if the Bulls can't move up, I'd rather face Doug Collins' team in Round 1 than a Knicks' team that I think can send the Bulls home empty-handed come playoff time! |

I believe they Bulls would certainly beat them in a 7 game series but it would be tough. The Hawks have a brutal stretch of games coming up so it's certainly possible the Knicks could catch them for the #5 seed; but then you've got the Hawks in the 1st round- again a team that you probably will beat but that won't be easy and will likely go 6 games. Get the #1 seed and you've got a sweep against Charlotte, Indiana or Philly |

Then you don't also have to worry about playing the Heat or Celtics until the conference finals. |
