Following tonight's loss to Golden State, the Bulls are 1-1 in the very early yet shortened season. Considering the strength of the East but lacking Central division, what is a realistic win number that Chicago will need to secure a minimum #2 seed in the playoffs? My guess is at least 48 wins (66 game season). |

Miami looks like the only East team that will win 45+ games. I think the Pacers will win 40 games. 43-44 wins should get a top 2 seed. |

1/4 of the way through the season. Bulls on pace to win 54 games. Kind of amazing considering 11 of 17 games have been road games, Rose has been out 4 games, Rip and CJ missed much more than that. Don't matter much. Bulls just role the ball out and beat the shit out of the team without horns on the jersey. I would not have predicted this prior to the season, but the Bulls have a shot at nabbing 52 wins. Heat will be second at 48 or 49. |

Let's just hope they can keep their legs around game 40. |

Assuming they can continue stacking up W's. |
