Maybe we should be dumb and fat like Meatpants and dismissively call him a "rec league chucker" even after being told by a co-host that getting the ball and shooting it is what Thibs wants out of his PG's. Can we do that? |

The way it's going tonight, CJ can keep his ass on the bench. |

Trying to find out where 59 points ranks in all-time lowest scores in the shot-clock era. |

The 59 points are the fewest allowed by the Bulls in team history. |

I know the lowest score by a single team was the Bulls' 49 against Miami in 1999. That broke the regular season+playoffs record from the previous year: Utah's 54 against the Bulls in the 1998 finals, which is still the playoff record. There have been at least a few other 50-something games since then, but I'm not sure how many. |

Quote: Dan Bernstein @dan_bernstein The #Bulls fired Mike D'Antoni, and tonight they fired Stan Van Gundy, even if the effect is delayed. I thought the regular season does not matter? |

I think JL3 is a super streaky shooter. He dribbles a little too much out there for a point guard, but he is a matchup problem for some team's point guards. I would like to see him come in as the two guard in a small lineup. |

The thing I like about JL3 is that he is absolutely fearless. A lot of 3rd string players would hesitate to jack up shots as much as he does. He took a charge on LeBron James, which 90 percent of the league would not attempt. He also is not afraid to take the big shot and when he's hot can score a lot with a few shots. Of course his weakness is his size and his ballstopping ability. But if he works on passing quicker than he's a real solid option when CJ is playing awful. |

Keeping Score wrote: Does anybody know if the 59 points the Bulls allowed is close to a franchise record or anything? Yes it was. The 59 points the Bulls allowed in their 85-59 win over the Magic in Orlando Monday night was a franchise record for a regular season game. It's 5 more than what the Bulls allowed to the Jazz in the NBA Finals, circa 1997. The Jazz only scored 54 points in Game 2 of that Finals' matchup. |
