Losses to Bad Teams:
Golden State
New Jersey
Portland
Washington

Losses to Playoff Teams:
Atlanta
Memphis
Indiana
Miami
Philadelphia
Boston
Orlando
Denver
Oklahoma City
Houston
New York

I think it's worth noting that so far they have not lost more than one game to a single team. A lot of these games they were missing Rose or Deng.

16-8 without Rose
6-4 without Deng

0-1 without Rose & Deng

This team is lucky to make the playoffs.

Last night's loss to the Wizards (or are they the Bullets again with the retro-style uniforms?) was as bad, if not worse, than the clunker vs. the Nets in mid-February at United Center. You remember that game, don't you?

The Nets game was worse because Deron Williams was whooping on the Bulls big time. That was a game in which the Bulls were down by 15 points in the beginning of the game before they scored. Had they played a halfway decent first quarter they probably make it a closer game.

Deng's absence was important last night because the Bulls 1st and 2nd units missed his offense. The bench is much better when Deng plays with them.

I'm not concerned at the moment, but I think with the exception of a few games here and there the Bulls have not played their best ball in several weeks. They have been fortunate to win a few last second games such as Detroit and Miami.

Jonathan Hood, who hosts "Bulls Buzz" on ESPN Radio 1000 after Steve Kashul wraps up the Bulls Radio Network postgame, brought up a valid point following last night's clunker vs. the Wizards. Hood noticed quite a few bad habits forming with this team over the last couple of weeks and that this team hasn't played nearly as sharp as earlier in the season, injuries or no injuries. The turnovers and the offensive dryspells the Bulls have had the last couple of games alone vs. bad teams in Detroit & Washington are causes for concern in my opinion.

I think the schedule and injures are starting to wear on them. Turnovers will kill any good team. The turnovers are a sign that the team is out of sync as a whole.

What I don't like is that some of the real crappy losses have come at home.

Over about the last month, the Bulls have been playing up to their competition. They've played relatively well against good teams, but you can see the struggles and mental lapses against weaker opponents. I think they'll be fine once the playoffs get here.

Coach Thibs wouldn't make excuses about last night's clunker to the Wizards, but reiterated his turnover stance that really annoyed him a few weeks ago when the Bulls lost to an average at best Rockets' team that are still fighting for their playoff lives in the top-heavy Western Conference, also on their home floor. I hope the loss to Washington last night got their attention.

Grobber combines the Bullets, the Wizards, and sucking into a surprisingly apt "Buzzards."
