This Bulls team beats the Heat. Thibbs vaults to all time greatness???

Not expecting it, but a great story if it happens. Beating the Bobcats by 30 without Rose, doesnt tell me much.

I think the team itself would become somewhat legendary. Considering our massive size advantage I don't think it's impossible but you talk about the stars having to align...

You apparently were listening to the brutal Sarah Spain and some other dbag today on ESPN radio discussing the same thing.

I think it's possible but a lot of things would have to go perfectly. RIP would need to turn back the clock and Deng and Boozer would have to play at all star levels. It would be a great story though.

It would just like when Ed Pinckney won with Villanova over Georgetown. A team which was not favored to win it all beat the team that was considered unbeatable.

I'm glad it's finally the playoffs and "a win without Rose" finally means something.

It would be awesome if they beat the heat, but it would spark some of the most high-quality Dumb Bulls Thoughts to emerge from the woodwork.

Or maybe GarPax would vault to all-time greatness, for assembling a roster whose depth overcame the mismanagement by its head coach.

Why, the Heat are going to lose to the Thunder anyways.

this team has no chance against the heat minus rose.... the playoffs are much different from the regular season..this team handles philly no prblem but the heat or thunder or spurs? no way

While I heard all the national "experts" count the Bulls out following Derrick Rose's season-ending ACL knee injury, here's what immediately came to mind. There have been quite a few guys around the league that have missed quite a few games this crammed NBA season. With that in mind, what if other key players around the NBA got hurt as well? Seriously. It's a season unlike any other, and just imagine for a moment if other key players got injured. It could happen.

I think the Bulls use this as a rallying cry and they still win this first round series with the Sixers. If the Hawks win their first round series for a 4th straight year vs. the Celtics, these Bulls can still make it to the Eastern Conference Finals. That's probably as far as they go with Rose out, but if the Heat somehow stub their toes along the way, who knows?

I think the refs could make this happen if they were properly motivated.

I've been drinking my kool-aid and I'm really starting to convince myself the Bulls can win without Rose. They play more like a team when he's not on the court. There only problems come when no one can make a shot. I like their chances against the Heat. I'm worried about them if they make it to the Finals though. Bulls will come out the East.

you know ive been drinking my kool aid too and now i think of it there is little doubt we will lose to the heat. it was a tough fight if we had rose... its not a match now that we dont

I will give them a 13% chance of being the Heat.

That seems about right. The Heat are the prohibitive favorites to come out of the East, but I'm not so sure about the West...

I was referring to the possible NBA Finals' matchup, guys. If LeBron doesn't win his first NBA title this year, he might not win squat...EVER!

I think Rip can get his own shot now but there is no one to attack the basket.
