... and the Bulls didn't tell anyone about it. KC Johnson reporting Watson had a procedure today to correct the issue. Should I be angry about this? Shouldn't they have told us he was hurt? I guess it doesn't matter. |

It was obvious he had nagging injuries the entire second half of the season. That dislocated elbow in January was never 100%. And he had an ankle injury in March. |

Rose won't be ready, and I don't want to see John Lucas ever again. Would you really want Mike James starting the season as your #1, and then being the primary backup after that? They should bring Watson back next season, and probably draft a point guard as well. Watson's contract is cheap, and he did a decent job filling in for Rose in the regular season. |

He should stay. You're not going to find a PG as young and a reliable as him. He was hurting most of the season and he managed to stay on the court. He's has mental cramps but those are things he will learn from with experience. Let's not forget he was capable of big games when he was healthy. |

Hinrich will sign the Kerry Wood contract and retire a Bull. I've seen enough of the CJ Watson movie. Guy had to be one of the worst ball handling pg's and bad shot takers in the league. Him and JL3 were always flailing and flopping. Give me Kirk and another backup and I'll live with it next year. |

cpguy wrote: He needs to go bye bye. No way. He is a very good back up PG. When he has to take the full load of being the starting PG he is not as good, and especially when he is playing injured. There are WAY worse back up PGs out there in the NBA today. |

Hinrch is not a guy I would care to have playing more than 15-18 minutes a game, but to take over the starting spot just till Rose returns would be okay. He plays fairly good defense, which Thibideau will appreciate. plus, he will be okay with being a 2nd string match-up guy. Watson was stupid too often. He played like he was scared in their final couple games VS the 76ers. To be passing the ball to a 46% free throw shooter, when he is an 80% shooter from the line, smacks of cowardice. Studs WANT the ball in their hands. They WANT to be the one taking crucial free throws. He did a nice job in many games in the regular season, where he played in Rose's place in the starting lineup. But I would think a change is in order, knowing that Rose will be out for the first several months (or longer) of next season. Again, I would be okay with having Rose miss ALL of next season and Deng missing a good chunk as well, to get a nice draft choice (like the Spurs did with Robinson out-which got them Duncan). that translates into a player that could be a true difference maker. That said, I doubt with all the remaining talent on the Bulls roster and Thibideau's ability to get the most out of his guys, that the team's record will be bad enough to miss the playoffs and be in the lottery. |

Hinrich is only 31 and still decent. No way it's already time for the farewell tour. |

I think, if healthy, Watson is a decent regular season PG they could survive with. I've never liked him much as a backup PG in the playoffs because he sometimes looks for his shots too much as opposed to keeping the team moving. This past season was pretty much a disaster with all of the injuries with him, but with so little back at the PG spot, I'm not sure why they wouldn't bring him back for another season and start him until Rose is able to return. |
