Ridiculous game tonight.

Detroit/Pistons/2012

I know what you are saying and only giving you some crap. That being said, in almost every game I looked at from this season, the Pistons were out-rebounded by an average of 10 rebounds. I mean, even the Kings out-rebounded them by 8 boards and beat them. I will say, no one I saw put up numbers like Noah, but I want to see the guy putting up these numbers when it matters against Miami. He is still a relatively poor shooting garbage man around the boards.

Pistons aren't good. But I would have never thought Noah could put 30 on any NBA team. Ever.

Probably couldn't even put 30/23 on you and spmack.

Actually, that's true. I mean, I'll get run over every time, but SpMack... look out... Speaking of which, where were you last hoops? I still owe you for damn near breaking my neck.

Part of it also, being an avid listener, might be that listening to B&B, they were SO wrong about Noah. I remember the comments about how a #9 pick will never amount to anything and that just because he wore a loud suit that he would be bad at basketball. Honestly, I am happy for him. I just don't think he is a #1 or #2 player on a team, but yeah, he has exceeded expectations.

Fair to say this can go in the trainwreck threads thread?

I've been consistently defending him since draft night, but his ceiling might be better than I had ever hoped. He's a better player than Deng now, and possibly a legit #2 next to Rose. I dont mean #2 scorer but he's good enough to be the second best player on a championship contender, if you have solid guys everywhere else. As CLH was noting, Detroit is pretty weak, especially at the 5, but Noah is a legit top 5 center, and the best one in the east currently. Maybe Bernstein won't act so incredulous next week if the topic is brought up again.

It was character building. You can tell your kids about it.

Noah has no arc on his shot.

He throws up towering line drives.

Noah damn well better be active. It's most of what his game is all about. He ever loses a step and he'll be a 6'10" coatrack.

Paxson knows what he is doing. He hasnt fucked up a top 10 pick yet, and I doubt he will this time. All you haters will be proved wrong within 5 years.

Booooo!!!

Quote:
CHICAGO -- Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah said he no longer will do his six-shooter celebration with his fingers out of respect for the victims who lost their lives in Newtown, Conn., on Friday.

"I started doing it in practice," Noah said after recording a triple-double in a 100-89 victory over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday. "I hit a jump shot in Keith Bogans' face and I started doing (it) and kept doing it and it was kind of a funny, comical thing, but I guess we're in a situation right now where it's not funny.

"You can't joke around with things like that. Too many people are dying because of guns. We have a problem here with guns, so (I'm) just trying to be a little bit compassionate about what's going on. You can't joke around -- it's not a laughing matter anymore."

pax couldnt believe he had the chance to get noah. nobody else thought he would be any good, and pax thought he was going to be great.

i guess if you think about it, pax hasnt really missed too many times. ben wallace was his biggest mistake. but remember when we thought skiles was making pax look good? he has had 3 coaches now, and despite different styles of coaching the players on average play well. i think its safe to say pax is the real reason the bulls have remained interesting. it might be only time before he pulls that one deal that changes everything...

If it's a trade for Kevin Martin, I would be a very happy Bulls fan.

I've defended Pax countless times on here before. The majority of Bulls fans think he is a terrible GM, which just makes me think the majority of Bulls fans are idiots.
