Last minute contract negotiation does a turnaround. Think North tries to take credit?

Well, we all know Mike North is the reason Skiles stayed in Chicago.

Bargain. Good for him for taking far less than he would have gotten next year.
Good for the Bulls for being able to lock up one of their best players for less money than they gave to Tyson Chandler.

Great move, glad this was completed before the season. Now lets win the opener tonight. First time in quite awhile I've been looking forward to watching an NBA game.

It's true that somebody would have offered him more next year and the Bulls would have had to match but 9.5 million per year is what he's worth if he stays the same. I won't discount that he can improve. His shots will significantly go down this year. That is a good thing. Maybe because of that he will take better shots and his percentage will go up. I expect him to shoot 45% this year. I also expect him to average 9 assists.

Kirk will probably have to speak to the Players Union since he took a lower offer than someone in his position could have commanded on the market.

It's refreshing to see a player take a bit less to stay somewhere they like.

He certainly doesn't spend his money on clothes or at barber shops. $47.5 mil should be alright.

LOL, true. It's funny to talk about $47 mildo as though it was chump change; I think he'll manage.
