Noah and Omer both are hard workers and have stepped up their games this season. But I think Noah is more athletic and has more upside on the offensive end of the court. I sure wish they could have kept Omer though. He and Noah, along with Taj, made for one hell of a nice defensive frontcourt.

Wrong answer. It's Dr Pepper.

Noah. And I'm not sure why Mini Ditka would ask this question other than some inherent urge to start inane threads.

This. Dumb question.

Better question: As well as Asik has played, is he worth $9M/year? The answer is no for the Bulls. Yes for the Rockets or a team without a really good center already.

Not even remotely. 9m? insane.

Noah.

I'll pile on and suggest that the premise of this thread is ridiculous.

Omer $8.3 million for averaging 29.5 minutes per game, 10 ppg, 11 rpg, 53.5 percent from the field and 1 assist per game.
Noah $11.3 million for averaging 38.2 minutes per game, 12.4 ppg, 10.6 rpg, 45.9 percent from the field and 4.1 assists per game. Omer is one year younger than Noah.

In terms of money dollar for dollar Asik is giving about the same or a little better for the money this season. Noah is a slightly above average center who is an energy guy because he can't score enough points to be elite. I think Noah might improve his play if the Bulls could get a legit backup center. They're basically using Gibson as the backup center and rotating Noah, Boozer and Gibson. Of the entire bench mob Asik was the one it was hard to lose because of his defense.

Asik is a garbage man. His only offense is Offensive rebounds. No post game. No shot. No free throw. For what he does, he does it well but doesnt do half of what Noah does. Noah is now one of the top five centers in the game.

This.

As well as the fact that Noah is probably the best passing big man in the game. His court vision is incredible for a center. Ridiculous thread.

If Noah is a top 5 center in the league the league is pretty watered down in terms of centers. He really can't score enough to be top 5 and he gets burned defensively against more physical centers. Yes, he does pass well, run the floor and have a lot of energy. But you have to think some of his scoring and assist numbers will go down when Rose is back on the court. Two years ago Noah and Boozer were both getting benched in the 4th quarter regularly in the playoffs for Asik and Gibson.

For those who say that Asik is garbage, I would disagree as Noah and Asik's rebounds and points per game are very comparable this season. He's actually shooting a better percentage than Noah too. In fact Asik is putting his comparable numbers up in 10 minutes less per game. I think maybe some people still think he's bad because he did not play well offensively with the Bulls the last two seasons.

The league is watered down at Center. But in this current NBA, Noah is top 5. I would even argue that Noah would fit better with the Lakers than Howard does. Not that he's better overall.

I never said Asik was garbage. A garbage man is reference to his offensive game being one of put backs and dunks on a fast break. Thats his offense. I compare his game to Tyson Chandlers. Just a little slower and whiter.

I think that for the value they've gotten out of Howard compared to what the Bulls are getting out of Noah, the Lakers would certainly rather have Noah at this point. Especially considering that Howard isn't going to re-sign with them after this season anyway.

The day is coming, OKC, where if the Lakers keep losing, Dwight Howard re-starts his bitchin' & moanin' about his contract just like he did down the stretch in Orlando. The soap opera is about to start...

That day is not coming. At this point, there's nothing for him to complain about. He's either going to be traded at the deadline or he will sign with a new team next summer. It's pretty cut and dry.

I would say 4 or more of these guys below are better:

David Lee
Dwight Howard
Al Jefferson
Al Horford
DeMarcus Cousins
Marc Gasol
Tyson Chandler
