After he gave the USA Today the "Rehab story", he gave the local guys some interviews last night and from what he said, doesnt sound like he is coming back this year. I think KC Johnson asked him if he can dunk and he said NO. If the purpose of these interviews was to bring down the hype of a Rose potential return, they sure did it! |

It might be better if he waits till next season. That way he can watch Adrian Peterson for another year. |

he can dunk, just not in stride. then he goes on to say he has been working on his shooting but thats not the type of player he is. he says he is a driver, and thats what he will always be. so thats that, folks. look forward to 2016 because thats our only hope now. derrik rose is a role player |

I am sure the people at Adidas will develop a more vivid personality for the ads, but I dont think D Rose will be doing any play by play in his future. Which is fine. Just hoop. Maybe when he is older and retired, he might come out of his shell...and talk a little more...even Scottie did... |

Is it too late to amnesty him? If he doesn't come back at some point this season I would be very disappointed. We are at almost 10 months. Currently it is a month more than Adrian's Peterson time between surgery and his return to playing. I feel that Derrick should have kept his mouth shut and not talked to reporters. If he's not going to play I don't want to hear from him. I would be ticked if I was involved with the Bulls and I thought that Adidas was calling the shots. Adidas is really striking out with signing Dwight Howard and then Rose who tears up his knee. |

He better fucking play. and he needs to develop that short Rod Strickland jumper and cut waaaaay down on driving to the hole. he needs to let the game come to him a little more and Thibs needs to have another player run some sets besides Derrick. He needs to slow the game down WHILE PLAYING THIS YEAR. If he can go harder in the playoffs than do it. If he cant then so what. More rehab. What else does he have to do this summer? Why concede a whole fucking season? This story bugs me. Tape it up, take two aspirin and get back on the court. |

I get what you're saying Mr. B, but I disagree. I always assumed this would be a lost season, especially with the moves the Bulls made last summer (Bellinelli, Radmanovic, Nazr, Nate, Kirk). Plus health wise, they appear to be coming apart at the seams right now anyway. The Bulls roster isn't set up to win anything this year with or without Rose, so he might as well just sit until he's fully comfortable. |

Quote: Athletes Can Play Through Those Injuries, Says Man Who Gets Sore From Sitting Too Long
NEW YORK—Despite his incessant complaints that resting his buttocks on a chair for prolonged periods of time causes him discomfort and pain, a man paid to provide sports analysis insisted Sunday that athletes should be able to play regardless of injuries attained through physical action. "The second they get nicked up they want to spend the game sitting on the bench drinking Gatorade," said the man, who "tweaked" his knee last week when he stood up for a moment during a commercial break. "It's pathetic how pampered and soft these athletes today are. Hold on, just adjusting my cushion here for a second." The man, who said during the broadcast that playing through pain is what separates the men from the boys, reportedly had a terrible night's sleep in his hotel suite because the silk pillowcase felt too smooth on his face. |

I know, but there are still people clinging to the hope of that being this season. My point is, this is a lost season...there's no reason for him to come back this year. |

I think having Derrick Rose able to start from the beginning of a season with a full training camp serves the team better than having him jump onboard in March or April trying to play himself back into shape on the fly. |

I don't know. I don't think there is much of a difference if he is fully healthy. I would consider what he has been doing the past two months similar to a training camp. Slowly getting himself back into playing shape. |

I would guess he might be tentative the first several times he takes the court. I'd like to see him to play this year to help his psyche going into next year.

Adrian Peterson has set an unrealistic bar for acl tears. Just because he came back in 6 months doesnt mean everyone can. These acl injury recoveries typically still last 8-12 months. I dont expect 6months to be the new standard Since before the season started i argued with my friends that i dont mind Rose sitting out the season and making sure that knee if fully healed and functional. Even though the team is playing much better than expected this is a throw away season. Whether Rose comes back or not the Bulls arent doing anything in the playoffs. As the now the team looks to be slowing down some and i think its time for Thibbs to take his foot off the pedal and start resting Deng and Jo and give the bench guys the majority of playing time. Plantar is sometime that will not go away without any rest and i dont even know what the situation with Lu's wrist is. Is surgery still an option or what? Get it fixed and come back strong next season. |

Keeping Score wrote: If I'm not mistaken, Rose's recovery/return to the court is now about a month behind Rubio's. Rubio was fairly brutal for about the first month he was back. He was on a minutes limit, but he really struggled until the past couple of weeks. It seemed like Rubio came back a touch early. They green-lighted him for full contact practices, and I swear it wasn't 10 days later and he was playing. Dont tell me you are comparing him to Rubio? Did you know no 2 people heal "EXACTLY" the same? You know they are not the same person and they are different people!!!!!! |

The thought of him not coming back till next season because of Adidas is enough to make me wish the Bulls could trade him. |
