Do you think the Bulls will shut Rose down if he doesn't play in the next two weeks? |

If he's not on the floor before April 1st, I think it'll be a lost cause. All Bulls fans want to see Derrick Rose back on the floor, and I believe Rose is as anxious as anyone, but if he's still not "fully healthy" as Bulls' Owner/Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf told ESPN Radio last summer, it's a dead issue. That said, I think he returns next Wednesday vs. the NBA Champion Heat on the "Worldwide Leader". As badly as the Bulls have played since that stinker in Boston before the NBA All-Star Break last month, they are still capable of winning their first round series, even if Rose doesn't play 1 minute. That's not much to ask. |

No they're not. And they lost last year's first round series without Rose, with a better roster at that. Your statement makes no sense. |

Are you really that confident that rose@90% with this team can't beat n.y. or Indy? |

312player wrote: Are you really that confident that rose@90% with this team can't beat n.y. or Indy? I am, but it's a moot point because I doubt he plays this year. Derrick Rose jumping in now, basically in preseason form, being expected to lead a mediocre-at-best team to a playoff series win is far-fetched. |

no, it's lebron's job to shut down rose. maybe rose isn't coming back because he knows the heat repeat is a foregone conclusion as he's been taking advice from doctor bernstein? |

LeBron definitely schooled Derrick in the Eastern Conference Finals 2 years ago. I don't think what's happening with this year's Heat has anything to do with what's holding things up with Rose. I heard "Waddle & Silvy" on ESPN Radio mention this on their show this morning. Those guys said something about Rose wanting to score 30 when he does return, whenever that is. I'm not so sure that's a realistic goal, but I'm under the impression that Rose wants to make an immediate impact when he does take the floor again, even if he's under a minutes limit at the outset. |

Is this based on any sort of analysis of the Knicks' strengths and weaknesses vis-a-vis the Bulls, or are you just making empty declarations? |

No need for the Bulls to shut him down. He's already shut himself down |

Since "nobody knows but god", I wonder if we can get a letter together asking the new pope for some help. Francis seems like the real deal, and I think it would be appropriate for him to ask god when Rose is going to be OK. |

If Rose doesn't play he's going to be putting a lot of pressure on himself for next season. If he comes out and plays lousy he's going to hear some boos and fans will talk about trading him. Rose needs to improve his shooting. Steve Nash drives on people, but I have never seen him dunk. The reason why he has been so good over the years is because he can shoot and break down the defense to find the open man. If Rose does not change his game he's going to be out of the league in five years or less because of the injuries he will sustain. He needs to make it so he will get 30 points if the opposing players repeatedly go underneath a screen on him. |

hes not playing because he knows hes not nearly as good as he was pre injury... and what ive seen from the practice videos he still cant shoot that good. bottom line, the guy sucks. we are completely screwed. |

Yes. I was pretending to overreact. I probably should've posted, "STOP MAKING FUN OF ME!" instead, but then it would have been too obvious. Don't you wish you had a lil bro? |

If Derrick Rose still isn't ready by the time they host the NBA Champion Heat Wednesday night on NBA/ESPN, I've gotta think he & the Bulls will pull the plug. NBA.com's Steve Aschburner seems to think the time has come, and quite frankly, enough is enough! |
