Hmm...where did you read/hear this? That's interesting. |

If we didn't have Noah, I would love this idea. Thibs is one of the few coaches I think capable of turning Cousins around. I really don't need them pursuing any centers for the next 5-7 years though. Only one I would take for Noah right now is Gasol. |

They need scoring more than they need Noah. You can find a big body to play help D and clean up the boards, which is what Noah does. |

An athletic 7 footer, who is also probably the best passing big man in the game right now, who runs the floor, finishes, rebounds, never takes a play off, and finishes on the All Defensive first team? Where can you find that guy? |

Sign and trade for Boozer? |

He would be a cancer. That is the last thing this team needs. He has an attitude and work ethic worse than Tyrus Thomas. |

Thibs would put a foot in his ass. I say go for it. |

Where can you find that guy? In the draft or free agency. They already found a capable replacement in Asik before ingeniously letting him walk for nothing. Find a tall, professionally mannered dude and have Thibs coach him up. I don't think the next guy off the street will be as talented as Noah, but I'm fine with perhaps 70% of Noah's output if it means you find a guy who can score without the help of 20 screens per possession. I don't know if Cousins is that guy, but I'm just saying. I think we've debated Noah before. I respect all what he does for the Bulls, and I'm a fan. I just don't think he's untradeable. Camby, Noah, Perkins, Dalambert, B. Wallace, Asik, etc. are all the same type of player with varying degrees of talent: tall dudes who have limited offense but can play defense and rebound. He's not unique, and I think you move him if it means getting a unique player in return. |

Yeah, I don't think we will ever agree on Noah. I think he is unique and the 2nd best center in the league. The anchor of our defense which also happens to be our biggest strength. I'm good on turning the Bulls into the Denver Nuggets East. |

The only good defenders the Bulls have in the starting lineup are Noah and Deng, and yet they ranked near the top last year (2011-12). Rose and Hamilton are average, and Boozer by himself brings those rankings down. Thibs did the same thing in Boston with two average to below average defenders in Allen and Pierce. That's why I think any coachable, decently sized athlete can step in and run Thibs' defense. |

I think FF will say Gasol. Not to knock Noah, but I don't think the title of best center or second best center is really that meaningful. There is already a dearth of legitimate centers to begin with, so everyone else sort of gets promoted a spot or two ahead of where they probably should rank. |

Marc Gasol is the best center in the NBA. Will be for a little while I believe. He's getting better, Dwight is getting worse. |

As long as you didn't say Howard. At that point your card would have to be taken away. |

His reign ended in 2011. FF and I disagree on a lot. I probably wouldn't like him if he agreed with me a lot. |

Nah I just thought it was funny because now you've got Kobe begging Howard to sign even though Howard probably wants nothing to do with Kobe or LA, and Kobe from what we know is probably doing this through gritted teeth. It's all just ironic. |

They can't afford to lose him for nothing unless their plan is to amnesty Kobe and start over completely. |

I forgot which show it was I was listening to today but someone, maybe M&H, said that Howard would pick Chicago over both of them to play with Rose and Noah. I considered suicide for a fleeting moment when I heard that. |

Noah and Howard would be TERRIBLE together. It'd be even more awkward than Pau and Howard. |

I thought they stopped sign and trades or restricted them with the new CBA. Did I get that wrong? |
