Quote: Rose went to the locker room and "needed to be helped off by (the) training staff." He also reports that Rose "put no weight on (his) right leg." Before heading to the locker room, he had scored 20 points, collected five boards and recorded three assists. http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2013/11/23/ ... vs-blazers looks like he tore his acl VIDEO------>>>>>>>> http://wewantbalance.tumblr.com/post/67 ... right-knee video of the play |

So with the so-called 'repeater tax' coming into effect next year, this team is almost certain to get blowed-up good ... if Rose takes another year at Club Med, there's no reason not to start launching folks (especially Taj) purely to get rid of contract money right fucking now ... which if done will make this shit worse than the early 2000s ... a lower level of basketball hell than the Celtics went into all those years after the big 3 left. So, one can try to pretend that somehow Rose going out might push us towards a proper (and apparently necessary) rebuild. One can also pretend that they can Roosevelt shit dimes, too. At least we're not Brooklyn ..... |

And back in the day when I actually wore basketball shoes, Nike & even Reebok made a more comfortable and fresher product. |

I guess this exonerates Thibodeau as being the cause of Rose's injuries due to overplaying him? |

Honestly, if this only happened 10 games ago, they could have started tanking rather strongly and hope to get a strong draft pick. |

as always, dan bernstein was right about this one. if derrick would have came back last year he could have torn his other knee sooner and gotten the surgery and started #TheReturn2 even sooner. selfish asshole. i guess he put too much strain on the other knee, which already had enough mileage to get to torn-ACL-ville, in the process of coming back. ah well..... c'est la vie. too bad they'll still make the playoffs without him so they can't get another rigged up lottery pick, especially with this draft. can you imagine if the league gave them jabari parker? that'd be nice. |

If Rose is done, they better start unloading guys and go for a high draft pick. Can/should they amnesty Rose????? It looks like he's become a China Doll. |

Fuck. But it could just be an MCL which I think is 6-8 weeks with no surgery. Or a bad sprain. Though trainers can feel for the ACL right away. It's either attached or it's not. So they knew if it was an ACL yesterday. |

What the fuck is wrong with his knees or lower body? Both were non contact blowups. That is usually the mechanism for a women's torn ACL, not a man's......and its not like he can blame his cleats getting stuck in the turf or anything. Just weird. Reminds me of... |

If Rose was mentally weak before, now he's toast. The Bulls and Adidas are fucked. And part of me thinks this is part of Team Rose's grand plan to get out of Chicago. (I know that's crazy talk...maybe what I mean is that Rose may not be that upset with the injury if it means taking it easy for another year and then starting fresh somewhere else.) |

Nobody will want Rose. They need to drop him ASAP, pronto. He & Greg Oden could join the wheelchair league @ the Y. |

(I know that's crazy talk...maybe what I mean is that Rose may not be that upset with the injury if it means taking it easy for another year and then starting fresh somewhere else.) is there an opt-out for either derrick or the bulls after this year? i have no idea why the hell derrick would opt out (unless he could get more years where he's paid like knee-having-derrick as opposed to whatever player is left on the other side of this new injury) and the bulls.... man.... would they? look what they did for j-will.... i dont think they'd take the reputation hit throughout the league by dumping an injured derrick..... so really i think for better or worse you've got him for the length of the extension he signed a few years back, so he's got the boat... and even if he returns as a 9/6 guy who can only play 25-30/night he's still getting paid like the 10-11 MVP, so i think future generations of the rose family will be alright. but the bulls gotta seize the possible chance to radically change this team cuz i mean, do they really think they had a chance? be the best you can be just in case lebron blows a knee? that's not a healthy way to go through life! |
