i had today off. 4x10 hour days. i do hospice care on the weekend for grandpa. today was my only real day off. installed a solar charger on my truck, and made a mount for my new $10 android dash cam. works great! included a stealth switch that near the key that i can activate if i want to record video when the truck is shut off. "HEY YOU, REMOVE THE KEYS AND GET OUT OF THE CAR!" no problem, sir. everything YOU say and do will be held against you in the court of law.

Solid.

Good game so far, Dunleavy and Capt Kirk couldn't be arsed to sport the red sneakers. Noah turning the UC into his house.

No idea who this chick is, but that she quotes the Bright Eyes kid (a personal Allah), Image. Oberst's a freakishly talented shakespearean force of nature who gives zero fucks and has Jim James of My Morning Jacket as President of his fan club.

Don't recall exactly giving anyone shit, but there's a discordance between liking the collected output of Stephin Merritt (Magnetic Fields, Future Bible Heroes, The Sixths?) and ruling the hawkey section of CSFMB. Oberst's like Tim Robbins in Bull Durham to Stephin Merritt's Greg Maddux. Both are first ballot HOF, but Robbins/Oberst's ability appears to be god-given while Maddux/Merritt had to suffer through the minors/a PhD program to get there.

I only like the Magnetic Fields, not familiar with his other work.

I just have this visceral reaction to all things Saddle Creek. 2005 was a bad time for me, w/r/t music conversations.

2005, he dropped the double-album Wide Awake/Digital Ash? Unfortunate but understandable that having a history there might preclude enjoyment/appreciation of someone who should be regarded as a national treasure. How many young singer-songwriters have Jim James, Emmylou Harris and Bruce Springsteen singing their praises, offering to be on their albums. Not a big fan of any of those 3, other than MMJ and some early Bruce, but Oberst's lasted long beyond the time Ryan Adams married a sugar momma and fucked off.

Probably helps that I'd never heard anything about Bright Eyes until Grandaddy brought him to town as their opener back in 2000 (Fevers and Mirrors tour), and Oberst as an opener got an encore. Sold on the kid since then and he has rarely disappointed. He even has Stephin Merritt-esque alter-ego bands, Desaparecidos and he tours under his own name in lieu of the emo-friendly Bright Eyes moniker.

But, yeah, if there's an ex mixed up with listening to Bright Eyes, no worse band for for it, other than maybe Magnetic Fields. :D

Was a close game, Westbrook and Durant hitting 3's and Bulls missing 12 footers. Sure glad they signed Jimmer.

He'll probably be the reason why they don't win the title.

Hopefully. One of my least favorite players in the league.

kirk has never been a great shooter. medium level at best. but his defense... oh my god! he moves so fast for a white guy. he look like hes playing too, not working. hes having fun. and obviously feels well, because i have never seen him twitch as quickly as he is this year. guys just cant shake him.

I'm amazed that he ever played in the league. I bet Steve Kerr could dunk over him.
