I don't know about that, Ike...the Lakers beat shit out of the Warriors w/o Koby. This will be a tuff game!

Can somebody please explain why Mirotic doesn't start?!!

Because he can't really play the 3 every night.

The Bulls need to hurry up and blow them out. These jerseys are ugly.

The Bulls have lost nine games? The Lakers have won nine games? Man.

This. Anyone that buys one has no taste. Lakers worse than Bulls.

Too slow to guard most 3s.

It was good to see Boozer still hasn't lost it. If he were still on the Bulls he would be their worst PF.

I see...then play him at center!

I'v been watching him on defense, and he moves very little...not good.

You can't bench Noah or Gasol. I like having those 3 on the floor in the 4th quarter with Taj subbing for Noah or Gasol.

Taj went right at him and he still doesn't grab rebounds.

Noah playing less minutes is a good idea....for several reasons.

i swear to god that mirotic had to grow up with a toni kukoc poster on his wall.

he was the wildcard entering this season and i think we've maybe hopefully got a spade, tho i dont know if he's royalty or just a #.

so is the great hope that toronto and washington and whatever arent that legit and then lebron aint got enough around him in cleveland yet (cuz i dont think he's leading this cavs lot to a title singlehandedly this year, but hey maybe he could prove me wrong) so you can take a shot at making it out of the east and then pretty much pray?

regardless.... i gotta say i randomly decided to watch that memphis game last week and i was !!! and since then i've been back to appointment-TV for the first time since midway through the 11-12 season when i got bored of the super tryhard bulls. jolly good show cuz the best part is when you got guys like butler and mirotic and you dont expect super/stardom from them but you start seeing these breakout games and more and more coldblooded shit out there OFFENSIVELY and it's like "hey wait a minute.... man if jimmy buckets contract doesnt join up with rose to kill off the rest of the squad.... we could have something here"

cuz let's be real. if derrick rose went down tomorrow yeah it'd obviously suck and all that, but would it be the automatic assumption that the season is over? hell i bet some of us would be like "good, now he'll be out of jimmy's way"

btw someone tell me that there's no way in hell jimmy buckets ends up in houston or something next year, right?

that would be soulcrushing at this juncture

Kukoc is a nice comparison but I think he's tougher and a better rebounder. His outside shooting may be better too. He's a mix of Dirk and Nocioni to me. He creates so many mismatches on offense.

yeah well said, and i gotta be real in saying that my memories of kukoc are hazy at best because i was watching all that shit casually when i was like 14... it's different now cuz as i've aged i've obviously gotten more cognizant of the game.

my favorite thing about mirotic this year is how when he started off it was like "ok well you know i see a little bit of this and that, but he's gonna be a project" and now a couple'a months into the season we're having those crazy 6/6 3pts games and stuff like that. he's setting up joakim with brilliant little passes.... and i like that from a big. this team's got a bunch of size up front that you can work with, and it's almost enough to have me not worry about thibs running them all into the ground.

that said, i hope pau gasol doesn't explode this year. having a real #4 is soooooo fucking nice.

Mirotic is a stretch 4... Kukoc was actually more of a wing distributor... he had a little Pippen-lite in his ability to pass and handle

Thibs needs to decrease Butler's minutes.

yeah i was saying that on IRC after i first heard him for a minute or two. he's really trying hard to put out a lot of words out there to convince you that he's knowledgeable and personable. and trust me on this cuz i'm an authority on this sort of thing!

oh shit lead's down to 4. swaggy p is gonna get us tonight. i have a feeling that the letdown is nigh!

but then again i do believe in christmas miracles (as we ARE posting in an official ikesouth bulls thread, aka the only truely oFFiCiAL bulls threads on the CSFMB) so hey maybe we can hold off swaggy p and boozer and god knows who else is on that desolate team.

i saw some stat where they're averaging like 10-12ppg more per game as a team without kobe on the floor. hot diggity. i got in an argument with someone who said randle had THE WORST ROOKIE SEASON EVER and i was like "how about len bias?" and the dude was all "NO YOU HAVE TO HAVE A SEASON!" and im just haaaa.

somewhere i can picture les grinning all DOWN DOWN DOWN LAKERS GOING DOWN in his head. if he's on the air tonight you know you'll hear that shit all night long

i'm getting a feeling that the bulls feel like they've got these guys beat. they're not worried about the lakers rising up and going on a 15-4 run or something to close them out in the 4th. they can just kind of kick back a little bit on defense (if they dont min thibs screaming at them) and fuck around cuz as that game clock keeps on moving the bulls are just a completely superior team to the kobe-free-lakers on every level, so barring some swaggy p miracle i just dont know how they can lose this game unless they stop playing defense and miss like 75% of their shots in the 4th.
