Post subject:  Rose's refusal to protect the ball

No one has been a bigger Rose apologist than me over the last few years, but lately the bloom is starting to come off a bit for me. I can understand him taking his time to get acclimated to the game since he missed 2 years, but the one thing I don't understand is is steadfast refusal to protect the ball or even act like he gives a shit about that aspect of the game.

All season long and especially last night he has been just standing in front of his defender and engaging in a high careless dribble of the ball. All year long defenders have been knocking the ball away from him..often he gets it back, but last night I think he turned it over 3x in a row at one point. Its like he doesn't give a shit. Turns it over and comes back down and does the same lazy dribble over and over again. Turn it over again.

I'd like to see him act like he gives a shit and maybe even protect the ball like an actual fucking point guard.

He is too busy protecting his future to protect the ball, too.

I'm more concerned with him falling in love with his jump shot.

Does he also refuse to vaccinate his kids?

He was a shitty jump shooter before he was hurt and now he thinks he's Steph Curry. He's done and damaged goods. Package him off ASAP if you can

He appeared to be extremely explosive when he first came back back to normal even. As the season has progressed he appears to have regressed physically. He is settling a lot for the jump shot but that is what most people said he would have to do if he wanted to stay healthy.

I couldn't agree more on the idea of getting rid of him, but what could we reasonably expect to get in exchange? I don't see it.

We're just fucked. It will be interesting to see what Brooks can do as a starter when Rose go's down again. The guy is exiting...more so than Nate Robinson.
