Restricted free agent in a year. Trade? Sign? I'm not familiar with restricted free agency in the NBA, but I'm sure it costs several pounds of flesh.

At least 5 years from happening. He will get the max extension this summer on top of his rookie contract being extended through 15-16. I say 5 years because maybe with a year left on his contract he gets traded if he says he is leaving.

He wont be staying in NO. You may have to keep Rose (hopefully not on a contract that defies common sense) because Davis' marketing rulers will want the Chicago angle. 'Ho-hum just a coupla kids from the south side, aren't we all kids from the south side? No? Buy these shoes then you white douchebags.

Resigning Butler, which they should do obviously, is going to make it a bit more difficult to get Davis. New Orleans will be able to match any contract Davis signs, which they clearly will, but if he makes it clear he wants out he'll get out.
