So is Thibs gone? Can they get a 1st Round pick for him? Will Hinrich hopefully get cut? Is their window now closed?? Can they find a sucker to trade for D Rose??? |

Yes. Maybe No. Player option (another smart GarPax move) which he will undoubtedly pick up. Yes. No. |

This is the end, it'll be a while before they contend again. |

Thibs post game remarks should be interesting. I bet he says next to nothing. Very short answers then boogies. |

Who is getting that much better in the East? Whoever coaches will get a season of Nick and will play Dougie. Noah, Kirk...only one that helped is MJD. Jimmy will be signed. Might get a better playoff team. |

Playing McDermott makes them better? |

Nor do you trade up for Doug McDermott, but I didn't see Tom Thibodeau make any jump shots 22 years ago, now did I. |

So did this team quit on Thibs or did they just realize they weren't going to beat Lebron? As for McBuckets, only time will tell but he certainly didn't get much of an opportunity although his injury played a role. GarPax clearly think the guy is a major talent. We shall see. |

Resign Butler. Trade Thibs for a mid-first and package the picks to trade up for Stein. Pray Rose stays healthy. Niko takes the next step. One of Snell/McDermott becomes a serviceable 3. If all those things happen they have a chance, but I kinda doubt it. |

1. The Eastern Conference still sucks. 2. The Bulls are in the Finals if Carmelo signs instead of Gasol. The Rockets are in the Finals if Carmelo signs instead of Ariza. 3. Cleveland traded Dion Waiters + Lou Amundson + Alex Kirk + 2 first round picks FOR Iman Shumpert + J.R. Smith + Timofey Mozgov. Cleveland could have been patient, knowing they have a shot every year with LeBron. This year they said let's win right damn now. 4. Tristan Thompson will be playing somewhere else next season because the Cavaliers won't have enough money (even if Kevin Love opts out and leaves). If Iman Shumpert thinks he's worth more than $4 million a year, he declines his qualifying offer and is out the door. 5. The Bulls offense lacks creativity. It lacks athleticism. It lacks movement and spacing. A Fred Hoiberg hire and a few roster changes help that. 6. I want Thibodeau to coach the Magic next season for two reasons: It would be a lot of fun to watch and I'd really like Orlando's 1st round draft pick. |

Playing McDermott may not be the answer to getting you to the Finals but neither is playing Hinrich or Dunleavy for that matter. Thibs is always preaching defense yet Dunleavy was lit up this series. He couldn't guard anyone. The Thibs apologists keep harping on personnel. Look at Atlanta's roster and then look at the Bulls. Which team has better talent? This was a winnable series. Especially once Kevin Love was injured. The Bulls offense stinks. He has two guys that can shoot basically sitting out the entire series. The killer part is that anyone that has paid attention could have predicted that this would be the case. Trade Taj while he may still have value. The Bulls lost all three games in which he started. He can't make a play on offense and he is not a superior rebounder either. This notion that he is a starting power forward is a joke. Tristan Thompson is a better player than him. Period. Thibs should be launched. No adjustments. Pathetic offensive schemes. The league is more offensive minded these days and you are not winning anything if you routinely score 82, 83, and 70 something points. McDermott and Snell should have played more this yr. They may not have been the keys to a championship but we won't know now. The Bulls need guys that can make shots. Paxson tried to address this during the past two drafts. The problem is that Thibs will never play guys like that. He has to go. |

They have enough to continue to be a top 4 in the conference team for a long time. Ultimately it will be of no consequence. |

This yr was a miss for sure. Gasol played better than expected. Butler became an elite player. Rose didn't kill them. The younger guys aside from Mirotic didn't really develop. Noah regressed and Taj was about what I thought him to be. They should have been easily one or two in the East. The number 3 seed was obtained in the last game of the season. A number of things became apparent this season. First and foremost most is Thibs ineptness as a coach. He is not an elite coach. People can make it about the greatness of James but he has been defeated a number of times and he also has benefitted from playing in the weaker conf. his entire career. This series should have been there for the taking. No love Irving injured. No way they should have lost. |

Thibs and Skiles were not terrible coaches they are just not elite. Vinny was a terrible coach. Paxson has done a good job of assembling talent. This team had two all stars on it. He acquired both of them. A healthy Rose 70 games or better is also an all star. They struggled against Milwaukee. How is that Paxson's fault? Thibs was also playing Kirk Hinrich when everyone can see that the guy is a liability. How is that Paxson's fault? The development of McDermott or lack of development also has to fall on Thibs. You mean to tell me that you could not find any minutes for the guy? This was a guy that a lot of people predicted would be the rookie of the yr yet he can't see the floor? The minutes that went to guys like Etwaun Moore and Hinrich during the season should have been reserved for Snell and McDermott. Dunleavy was brought in to be a backup but became a starter because everyone knows that Thibs refuses to play rookies. Austin Rivers is playing meaningful minutes in the playoffs and also contributing, why? because he was allowed to develop. He also has demonstrated that he can play. Thibs doesn't even give guys a chance until favored players are injured. |

.647 career winning percentage isn't elite? People are just frustrating because the Bulls crapped the bed last night. You're not going to be better off with a college coach. |

I know I can't think of one, other than maybe Scott Skiles, who got a couple of 45-win seasons out of Chris Duhon and Andres Nocioni. But hey, he didn't last as long after Paxson fired him as he did with the Bulls, other than the fact that he lasted longer, of course. |
