Butler is the man.

So are the veterans Taj and Rose?

It seems that Noah definitely has a problem with him. They said one starter so I'm guessing Gasol or Gibson. They appear to be the go to guys for insider Bull stuff. It doesn't seem like Rose's style to go to the media, but you just don't know. Rose has also been accused of receiving preferential treatment and it would be hypocritical of him to bash Butler over it. Maybe Dunleavy. He has been known to be envious of star players too.

Gasol and Butler seem very tight on the court...and after wins. I know it seems like Gasol would be the guy, but I highly doubt it. Again...after Butler's first game back from injury...Gasol lifted him up after the game on the court in some celebratory fashion. They always sit next to each other on the bench and talk. It isn't Gasol.

Could be Noah...but one of those articles said Noah wanted Butler to take a more vocal role during meetings. So that also doesn't make a ton of sense.

I could picture Rose because of Rose.
I could picture Gibson because he is also a hard worker it seems, but it never translated into Butler's level of success.
Could be Dunleavy.

Taj and D Rose, both expire in 2017, both want to be in LA, both will be traded next year if their play warrants someone wanting them.

Both will be looking for new deals and thus watch BOTH have a better year than they have had in the last 3!

So, now you have talented players who very well might play hard next year. You have money to acquire another free agent. So, as ownership you go with it next year, you try to win next year...and then make your trades, even if you are doing well. 2018 full rebuild.
