Barry Anderson, the human behind Benny the Bull, is calling it quits after twelve seasons.

He must have got tired of downing all that 5-Hour Energy drink.

I've never seen a more hyperactive mascot that is always doing something crazy.

Happy Retirement, Barry.

Dust off your resumes, boys...

Yeah, "retirement." This is really GarPax's way of holding guys accountable for the debacle that was the last season. Word is Paxson wants a mascot who can get along with the cheerleaders a bit better.

I just found out that this could possibly be Mrs. Godfella's fault?..

Recently, at a Bulls Road Watch Party at The Ogden, Benny ransacked her handbag when she wasn't looking.

When she turned around and saw Benny rifling through her personal stuff, she smacked him on the snout like Dorothy hit the Cowardly Lion. An honest natural reflex she sincerely felt terrible about.

Then, he ran away and went behind the bar harassing the bartenders.

He brought her over a drink as a peace offering and all was well... or was it?

Well his contract wasn't renewed, so it's retiring sort of I guess.

Can't move Gasol at the trade deadline, but they have no problem launching the mascot - the only part of the organization that isn't a national joke.

Good stuff!

Fahey Flynn, Joel Daly, Tim Weigel, Muhammad Ali, Mike Schmidt (WS MVP), Artis Gilmore and the Original Super Fan - before & after.

He must have put down his cigar and aviator sunglasses when he was talking to Big Al Lerner...

Nice blast from the past. Thanks, BF.
