Hawks look depressingly bad. Maybe not even a playoff team.

Yeah, no way this team makes the playoffs. Here we go again with what appears to be a very talented team, praying to finish 8th. Something is really wrong here.

It's getting scary, thinking of all the players we locked up long-term who stopped caring.

I must say, after watching the hawks from the other side last night, the discrepancy between effort levels at the beginning of the game was pretty damning. A lot of that could have been due to the kings having an extra jump in their step knowing that the cavalry had arrived in the form of WayneStylie, but even with the refs giving the Hawks multiple chances to get back into the game, I never thought they had much of a chance to match the intensity. It's like they are waiting for the cavalry themselves, it reminded me of how the Kings looked this past week before the trade, playing against the Avs.

Speaking of which, the hawks need depth up the middle, amiright? You wont do much better than Stastny as a second line center, and he has good experience playing alongside Kane. The price is high, but 6.6 is what you have to pay for a very good second line center. The problem is that the hawks would have to bid against the Maple Leafs and the Panthers  that's like the worst case scenario for negotiating a trade. For some reason the Avs want to deal him. I'd take him in a heartbeat if I were Bowman.

Dustin Brown had himself quite a game. He's gonna make a hell of a New York Ranger later this week.

The Blackhawks play the way I was as a student: if you can't excel with high talent and low effort, just give up!
