What a goal from Toews/Kane! And what a puppy-shit goal on Crawford. Same as it ever was.

This flurry of obstruction and restraining calls could well be an aberration, or something "corrected" down the road, but the prospect of having to kill penalties when you interfere and trip is very, very enticing. Let's see if it carries into tomorrow night's game. That will be the real indicator: the team the league owns benefited from the league easing up on calls more than any other.

What the hell? When is first local TV broadcast?

Also from what I have read and sen from watching NHL network the interference calls are something the league wanted to be enforced more than last year.

Predators and Coyotes are doomed.

Hockey Gay, are you the former Troll?

No. I've been on and off the forum for about 3-4 years I'd say as I would check in the B&B section when the show was still good. I know how this board works perfectly but I really only have hockey and football thoughts.

Oh okay. I liked Troll. I think he had a Rat avatar, too.

Guessing Carcillo is out as as a precautionary measure at the least tomorrow, which would spoil today's "he'll injure himself tomorrow" prediction. Kruger had a bad game at the dot but had nice hustle. Shaw was good but a little derpy at times; then again that's basically what Shaw is. Three of the big four forwards (the 4wards?) showed up. I hope no one still thinks we should trade Kane.

EDIT: Carcillo out tomorrow and probably longer.

Me too, but don't get too excited, I'm sure the clutching, grabbing and interfering will be back in time for the playoffs.

Nothing to take away from today's win. Playing a team in any sport on banner raising night is pretty much a guaranteed blowout victory.

The Coyotes haven't been sold yet. It could be back in 24 hours!

I'm not happy with the faceoffs. To wit:

Toews: 16/25
Bolland: 6/14
Shaw: 4/8
Kruger: 4/13
Also, Bickell won his only draw and Frolik lost both of his.

Under 50% on faceoffs is just the price you pay for Dave Bolland, but I cannot deal with the combined 8/21 from Kruger and Shaw. Put Shaw back on the wing, put Mayers at center, and see if maybe he can shore this up.
