Little Help here!

The alleged pinned puck between Howards skae and the post, sure looked like it went in from the goal camera

1. Is it only reviewable if the refs on the ice call it a goal?

2. Are those cameras just for TV? not for reviews?

3. Sure looked good to me and didnt get any TV commentary, so I assume some rule reason for not allowing it. Yet, this is why Hockey doesnt get bigger. National audience, major goal and just brushed over. This would be like Hawk doing a national baseball game and saying nothing on the other teams homeruns.

It wasn't a goal because the referee lost site of the puck and blew the whistle before it went in.

Thank you.

Is that like a bad ref in football blowing the ball dead, while it is in the air and no matter what happens after the whistle is blown, it doesnt count?

I just thought this would be more of an issue for the TV crew?

Correct; once the whistle is blown play is over. But it also seems to me that some refs have a very quick whistle. If I blew a whistle every time I lost sight of the puck on my TV my neighbors would shoot me.

Unless the goalie controls the puck or it is caught in someone's uniform they should be allow to hack away.

Quick whistles, I can deal with. What needs to be eradicated forever is the "I meant to blow the whistle" rule. That is some bush-league shit. You can't say something didn't happen because you intended for it not to happen.
