I was in C69. Were we in each other's midst and just not know it? Weird if so.

The second period was among the worst I've seen the team play all year, but there were lots of great chances in the first and third, and Seabrook's goal was a beauty. It was great to high-five strangers and talk hockey and all that jazz. I told the guy next to me in his Alex Zhamnov sweater that he was one strong soul. He laughed.

We've talked a little bit about how the crowd can get discouraged and argued whether it was bad mic work from CSN or just people getting down. While there were some definite loud moments, there were definitely stretches of funereal silence in the second, not to mention a little booing (wholly earned).

This game moved really really fast. Very few stoppages, would have been out of there by the top of the hour had it ended in regulation, which is very unusual for a 7:30 drop.

Best game ever? Hardly, but there's nothing like hockey in person. Glad I went. And how about Antoine Vermette! What a player.
