My guess is McLellan takes the Oilers job. He's a Hockey Canada guy like the new president up there. So is Babcock, of course, but he'll stay in Detroit or go to a place that isn't Edmonton. For whatever reason, McLellan has escaped a lot of the blame for the Sharks' run of postseason fuckups, which just shows how much no one likes Joe Thornton.

Some coach should do ok in Edmonton. They have been drafting high forever. That said who the hell wants to live in Edmonton.

They can do what rookies do and all stay at Daryl Katz's place:

Quote:
Katz's riverfront mansion at 4 Valleyview Point in the Parkview neighbourhood, is one of the largest houses in Edmonton at 25,000 square feet (2,300 m2), and estimated to be worth C$20 million. The property overlooks the North Saskatchewan river valley, Hawrelak Park, and the downtown city skyline and is easily visible and instantly recognizable from the river valley's many trails. The great room is clad floor-to-ceiling in 90-kilogram (200 lb) blocks of Italian limestone and with 9-metre (30 ft)-high windows framing a view of downtown.[15] The property also features two swimming pools. For his children, Katz bought the multi-million dollar house next to his, demolished it, and built a practice hockey rink.

Sure, they have a ton of 1st round picks. But their ability to draft 2 - 7 has been bruuuutal.

You have to occassionally find a Brouwer, Keith, Byfuglien, Saad, Shaw, Kruger, Bickell.

I mean they're drafting top - 5 in 2nd round too. Should be able to get somebody who slipped out of the 1st.

Speaking of the draft, the pick we sent to Phoenix for Vermette will now fall between 27-30. I'm sure they're not happy about that. Oh well, they'd just blow it anyway.

I'm hoping Calgary and the Dux beat the shit out of each other for a few days.

That's my hope too. I have a feeling the Flames win at home tonight. They probably won't win the series -- Getzlaf and Perry are just too good -- but it'll probably take Anaheim six games.

The Flames in the Conference Finals just seems odd.

So the Hawks have made it to the conference finals in 5 of the last 7 years. Q is the best coach in the NHL right now.

GO FLAMES!

Somebody went in to the Wild Wikipedia page and changed the owner to Patrick Kane.

Well, it wasnt and isnt difficult to realize that the Hawks are still the most talented team in the NHL and their experience and ability to close and win games is unparalleled. The regular season means less in the NHL than just about any other sport. Apparently many of the CSFMB Hockey Gays arent quite as Gay as they thought!

I'm very glad to be wrong on my prediction...what a series!

SH.....most of us never disputed the talent comparison with Minnesota. It's based on the fact that the Blackhawks took a good chunk of the season off and looked uninterested.

No one is happier to be wrong than I am.

Rosey broke his left ankle. His career is most likely over.
