The ability to get an unreal haul for the guy has to be there?

The guy that should be dangled out their for a huge ransom is Seabrook. He has had himself a hell of a year and playoffs so far, is due a huge new contract after next year and was on the shit list not too long ago.

But you know the idea of trading Toews is far more outlandish than the thought of trading Kane. Kane is one hell of a talented and exciting player, but Toews is the centerpiece of this team. In the salary cap era a good team is going to have to make decisions about letting guys go that it doesn't necessarily want to let go. Again, I doubt they would trade Kane, but I don't think it's as farfetched as some are making it out to be.

No, the idea of trading Kane is just as outlandish as trading Toews.

They are both the faces of the franchise and the cornerstones.

Salary cap, no salary cap, 10 salary caps, it doesn't matter. YOU DON'T TRADE YOUR SUPERSTARS JUST TO SAVE MONEY. And you sure as hell don't trade a superstar as good as Kane..or Toews...or Keith.
