The organization is going to be in utter shambles pretty soon if it isn't already. They pretty much have to mortgage the future one more time for a fourth championship and then bottom out Buffalo-style to start getting back all the talent they've lost or will have lost. When that happens, and it'll have to, hockey will be dead as a doornail in Chicago.

I agree the bottoming out will have to happen, but I'm not convinced Toews is done. This team could scrap together one more year with the cup, but the window is closing. #19 has to rebound one for one more good season.

Chicago and Edmonton have either nearly the same gate revenue or nearly the same gross, I don't remember which. It's not a good sign that business-wise, with everything we've enjoyed and all they've suffered, their worst still almost beats our best.
