Hjalmarsson hanging them up. One of my all time favorite Hawks. Laid it all out there every night.

One of my favorites. His sweater should be hanging. The Hawk don’t win three without him.

Like was said before, fucking fearless.

Year after the first Cup win, Hjalmarsson laid a nasty hit on Jason Pominville, I want to say it was, and I think it messed him up psychologically to where he was a shadow of himself for the rest of that year and the next. Coming out of the lockout, he was probably the best defensive defenseman in the league for three years.

I remember being highly skeptical of Hjalmarsson taking on Sopel duty after 2010, but man, he took Sopel duty to a whole new level, didn't he? Second goalie without the pads. Unsung hero, retire #4.

Perfectly stated....still, I don't think they'll do it.

It really didn't look like a dirty hit. He came in and made sure he hip checked him from the side.

It wasn't dirty but damn it was a hard hit. His head snapped hard at a weird angle into the glass, right?

All he forgot to do was make sure Pominville had the puck.
