Third game of the season for the Hawks and Blues, while other teams have already played their fourth, so there's not really a lot of sample size here. Both teams have been off since Saturday, where the Hawks lost in the shootout and the Blues routed the Panthers.

Biggest change for the Blues this year is trading David Perron to Edmonton for Magnus Paajarvi. I always thought Perron was an idiot while Paajarvi had potential, but he's been a scratch in both of St. Louis's games thus far, so who knows. With Jay Bouwmeester and Jordan Leopold on the roster to start the year this time, the Blues are stupid deep at defense. Other than that, it's still Hitchcock and the hard forecheck, which gets a lot of talk as being unstoppable but we know it can be foiled by simply beating them to their dump-ins. We've gone two games without a fighting major, but the Blues are meatheads, so I expect one tonight.

With the Red Wings gone and a division otherwise full of misfit toys, these St. Louis games are must-wins for the Hawks. The Blues are just as much a contender as the Hawks are, and a match in the second round is practically inevitable. Getting the wins here would be very nice.

If I had to guess I would say Halak gets the start for the Blues and Crawford for us. Hayes might dress for "physicality" if he's actually capable of it, Rozsival should play as well.

"Fuck You St. Louis Blues" would of been my title. I'm not a crafty vet like you.

I want at least 4 line brawls tonight to constantly keep momentum on our side.

I want David Backes to take a one-punch knockout, but we don't have anyone capable of that. Remember that time Evander Kane floored Matt Cooke? That's what Fighting In Hockey should be. Guy plays dirty, gets punched in the face.

It pains me that Jimmy Hayes just may not be very good. I like his size and he seemed to have a decent scoring touch but looks like he's just bad.

Still too early to tell. Need to give him a couple more years as power forwards usually need more time.

Well, unless it's Kyle Beach. He's done

Yea, all we'll get is Bollig circling someone for 30 seconds before nothing happens.

I want to see someone launching their skates at the Blues bench tonight.

NBC is trying to hype this game as one huge brawl. I'm sure the Blues will pull some shithead shenanigans but the Hawks will skate right past.

Hawks had some opportunities early but didn't cash in. Nothing doing in the last few shifts though.

Maybe you are just channeling your true feelings towards castro at Kaner. At least Kaner is/was only a shithead after the game and not during it.

Exciting period.

19, 88, 29 line tearing it up. This game is ripe for a Bickell goal.

I missed the penalty that set up the PP. I just saw the replay. Hit from behind and head into the boards and only 2?

Lapierre is a complete fucking idiot. St. Louis is just the right place for him.
