Im glad they picked him up last year and he played well during the playoffs for them and I though re-signing him was a good move but I done know how its not obvious to Q that he's a fucking boat anchor out there. To play him at the expense of Pirri's continued development is a horrible decision that will be further exacerbated when the other lead weight Bickell comes back as CH pointed out.

Bickell hasn't been bad, he's just had trouble living up to the money. Stan should have locked him up before his big playoff run (I've read that they were close on $2.5MM/yr), but hindsight and all. Handzus is indeed an anchor on that second line, though, no way around it. I know Pirri is questionable defensively, and Q wants defensive soundness top to bottom, but that doesn't justify getting less TOI than Brandon Bollig.

My expectations aren't high for the
1) second half of a back-to-back
2) at the end of a road trip
3) possibly with the backup goalie
4) against a team that always gives us fits
5) that has been nearly unbeatable at home,

but hey, who knows what the night shall hold?
