Never thought the Cubs would be a viable option to watching the Hawks. Adios .

Eh, reality is this game doesn't mean much except the Hawks now get to clinch at home in Game 5 instead of at Jou Louis Arena in Game 4.

They can talk about adjustments all they want. Fact is if the Hawks play with intensity the Wings can't beat them. Everyone has been invisible today. Detroit played good but we gave up at 2-1. Two things though. Can we get Stalberg back in the lineup and put worthless Carcillo back on the bench now? There's not one person who gets that move so lets correct that. Also, like brogue said, time for Toews to get going. Detroit is going to feel good about themselves now, it's time for the Captain to step up his play on offense and lead this team.

1-1 heading to Detroit isn't a big deal. We've had alot of success there recently and I wouldn't be surprised if the Hawks take both games. Have to bring the energy and match their intensity though.

Toews and Bolland are supposed to be our two guys who kick it into an extra gear for the playoffs and neither one has. Bolland has actually been worse. The line for today is gonna be something like 0G 0A -1 6PIM and god only knows how bad on the draw. Toews has been invisible all postseason.

I hope this is the end of dicking around with Stalberg. Whatever Q's point was, he made it. Now that you've lost home ice advantage, please put forth your best possible lineup.

I don't know what the deal was with Stalberg. It was stupid. One of the dumber theories floating around is that the Hawks are trying to depress his value in free agency, but healthy-scratching him in the playoffs just makes him less likely to want to re-sign in the first place. Dumb.

I hope Craw wipes this game out of his head....he had a tendency to dwell on the last game.

Q decides to play his best lineup tonight for the playoffs. Damn decent of him. By all accounts 25 is going to dress.

Guessing at lines.

81-19-20
88-36-10
25-65-29
16-26-67

Problem is no one can win a draw consistently other than 19. 2nd line got buried in the defensive zone multiple times last game and I don't' think it matters which center (Handzus or Bolland) is ruining the line.

Semi-retirement is great.

Heading to Deeeeetroit for this game tonight.

Stub Hub....upper bowl...2 seats...Blue Line...facing benches...Hawks shoot twice.

$40.00 over face for them both including all SH fees.

Hawks must realize Playoffs have begun and Wing is not exactly Minnesota Wilding.

Thought I heard that Handzus has an injury and why he hasn't been practicing much.

Well now he's on the 4th line. Hopefully Bolland can stop sucking.

Sounds like he's just going to take faceoffs on the fourth line and then flip to wing for Kruger.

Without knowing his contract situation and unless he rebounds and has a monster playoff, Id rather see the Hawks find the money to keep Stalberg by dumping Bollands ass somewhere if they can find a taker. Always hurt and not very good when healthy.

As long as the money is similar, I'm going to guess Stals tells Q to f himself and sign elsewhere

I don't think anyone has been pleased with Captain Invisible this postseason. First, okay, Ryan Suter is a Norris defenseman running the entire defensive corps for a bad team, I can see him shutting Toews down. Now, okay, Henrik Zetterberg is an elite two-way player, I can kinda see where he could shut Toews down. If we advance, what next? "Hey, you can't sleep on Colin Fraser"?

Again, I think hes a wonderful player but the great ones produce when the team needs them the most . I dont think Toews has exhibited that in the playoffs for a couple years now. I dont give a shit whose checking him, he needs to step it up.

Ah, Brendan Smith, another one of Detroit's Best 25-Year-Old Rookies Ever.

Dan Cleary is a fuck.

So many gingers on Detroit. No wonder they are so unlikeable.
