In all the years I plyed organized hockey ( wish I couldve lived the game but never got to that level) , one thing I learned from primarily playing center, was that on face-offs, especially defensive zone face-offs if you couldnt win the draw, at least make sure the other guy doesnt beat you clean. As bad as everyone but Toews is on draws, you woud think they would hold to that philosophy but instead they get beat clean almost everytime in their end. Quick impressions, Saad really came to play tonight , Cleary continues to be a dewsh and the Hawks in general look better than they did in both home games .

One of the things that's annoying about Emrick's wordiness is such as just now, when he said a shot was "blocked...by Howard." A block is a shot that is stopped prior to a shot on goal. By the language of a box score, a goalie cannot block a shot. He can stop, save, whatever, he can even blocker it away, but not block.

And he just said "elevators it back." seriously dude.
