this felt like a game they should have won. Good news...Kane scored 5 on 5, campbell actually played very well on both ends, which is the first time that I have seen that this year. If we only had an average performance out of khabi we would have won this game, but he had an off night, I can only hope that he gets back on track on Saturday.

Hawks need to come out and play hard for an entire game. I do not think we have seen that yet this series.

Agreed. While most will focus on the second, Calgary outplayed the Hawks in the 3rd and that was the difference. Calgary successfully killing that first Hawk PP in the 3rd gave them some needed momentum. A Hawk goal on that PP could've been the difference.

And whoever scores the first goal loses. At least so far.

I think Habby should be getting a rest in game 5 as he's given up 4 soft goals in 6 periods and 9 goals in 2 games. He logged a ton of minutes in the last 10 games and has to be tired. The Wings pulled their starter Hasek last year in their first series against the Preds and rode their back up Chris Osgood to the Cup who went 14 and 4 over the last 18 post season playoff games as he got hot and pretty much had the Wings jump on his back to the Cup.

Throw Huet out there and see if he can spark this club and maybe ride a hot goaltender for a series or two. I don't think it will happen on Saturday but if the Hawks lose they have to start Huet in game 6.

Be curious to see how the Flames come out in this period. They were more than flat in the first.

It will be also interesting to see how the Hawks come out with a 3 goal lead. They cannot let off the gas, as we saw in the last game, thing can change quickly and this game is not over.

despite that last goal, I really like the way they are playing, they are really using their speed, and I don't know if its just me, but I think campbell looks pretty good this game

You're looking for negatives? Seriously, it's 5-1.

Posted that after the first goal. In all honesty, after his last two games, he is suspect.

Im a moron.

at least I can admit it but I can not wait for it. I am a bit on the cautious side but hoping they pull it off.

Also I love how they light the saddle dome, in HD it is just brilliant picture and you can see everything

Had a 23oz filled with Oberon for the last game. As I am superstitious, I plan to have some Oberon tonight. After the last game, I feel very confident this thing gets wrapped up tonight. Reading the Calgary Herald, they really seem to love this Hawks team as comments from Andrew Ladd had led off their sports section. Calgary fans dont seem to excited either. Ill be curious to see how Kiprusoff reacts tonight.

Oberon is poured. Lets get this damned thing started already.

From the articles in the Calgary Herald, I dont think there is much faith in the media about them winning tonight. That being said, the Hawks have yet to prove that they can win on the road in the playoffs. I have a feeling this is going to a game 7.

The Calgary Blog:

Officially, the Flames outshot Chicago 16-7 in the first period. Lemme tell ya -- those numbers in no way, shape or form describe the balance of play in those 20 minutes.

I counted maybe a couple of really legit scoring opportunities for the Flames in that period, Jokinen's breakaway being one of them. Yes, Nikolai Khabibulin is giving up some juicy rebounds on occasion, but the Flames are not getting anywhere near them, and are not exactly making life anything near difficult in the crease for the Hawks goalie.

At the other end, this is another star-making night for Dustin Byfuglien. Dude is good. Real good. And he's making the Flames defence look silly at times.

This is where the Flames truly miss Robyn Regehr. Talk all you want about Phaneuf's absence, but there's no question Regehr is missed more.

Now then. Forty minutes left for the Flames. Perhaps 40 minutes left in the reign of Mike Keenan. This should be interesting.

One of the nice story lines out of this series has been the emergence of Barker and Hjalmarsson.

I predict (ya gotta say it like ya mean it) the Flames will get real chippy in the third. Can't figure why something like Toews, already on his ass on the ice, getting his head shoved down for at least a second or two isn't some sort of penalty.

There have been quite a few no calls, though the 6 man was pretty obvious thankfully. I love this Khabibulan. I wish we could have this Khabibulan every game of the playoffs.
