I suppose we should start gearing up to be supremely disappointed with this year, huh.

We shall see what the Hawks are made of now.

The Hawks are losing to a team with Kronwall and Ericsson as their top defensive pairing. Embarrassing, shameful, vomit-inducing, etc etc

Hawks aren't forechecking hard any more. Looks like they've given up already. If I were Q i'd be raging on the bench at my team to wake up. The game was going fine at 0-0, Seabrook is bad and shit happens. Keep going.

Im more concerned that in the last 4 and 3/4 periods they have 1 fucking goal. Lot of players bringing the suck. Maybe Shaw healthy scratch next game.

Yup, they are paid 5+ million to fill the net. Would be nice if they started sooner rather than later

This PP is so brutal. I just don't understand.

1) Can't screen the goalie properly
2) Players at the point have to slapshot everything for some reason instead of using a wrist shot and putting it on someone's stick for a tip or getting it through to the net for a rebound.
3) No circle to circle puck movement. Players stand around and don't get open. Even when they are open, no one has the balls to make the pass except Kane.

Detroit parks bodies in front of a lucky Howard. I am not seeing the Hawks doing all that bad except PP. Detroit for whatever reason has a plan and one lucky ass goalie.

They're just doing what Phoenix did last year.

I'm trying to tell myself that the Hawks were down 2-1 to the #7 Nashville Predators and still won the championship, and that this year's Wings aren't a hell of a lot better than that year's Predators, but man, I don't know. The core of this team really gives up sometimes, and this might be one of those times.

Can't even score on breakaways. The Hawks big are utterly fucking useless.

I was going to post about Sharp being a sniper but I pretty much assumed he wasn't going to score on that breakaway and that if it was Kane on a breakaway he would of probably scored. Well yea, Kane did that.

Hey, all it takes is Johan Franzen dying to score a goal.

Suspect goalie interference call.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THAT FUCKING CALL?!?!?

Franzen goes down like a bitch and this is their make up call? Fucking bullshit. Clearly no interference.

It was pretty iffy to me. I mean, Shaw made contact with Howard, but it didn't seem terribly deliberate. Just a lot of shit happening among a lot of bodies, could have made the call, couldn't missed it. Whatever. Score one for real this time.

Yeah I didnt see it. Looked like he was pushed into him but thats an even up for not stopping the play when Franzen got hurt.

This game has been roller coaster of emotions. And still ample time for the Hawks to crush my sliver of optimism.
