They were playing not to lose the game in the second half of the third.
Plus 25 minutes is too much for kane.

Yea. That's twice now we've outplayed them only to let them tie it late and eventually beat us. I immediately think of the two missed opportunities by Kane. Speaking of Kane, it's ridiculous he was even put in a situation where he had double shifts all night. Why dress Carcillo for 2 minutes of ice time? Just cut the guy and get someone up here who can play.

The usage of players continues to baffle me by Q. First, Bollig and Carcillo should never dress barring multiple more catastrophic injuries. That said, if Bollig has more than 10 minutes on the ice, like he did last night including what should have been the game ending high stick no call, then the Hawks better be up or down by 5 goals. He's worthless.

Carcillo had 2:26 on ice. What's the point?. Multiple guys in Rockford who can give you a solid 6-8 minutes right now which would also allow you not to ride Kane for 25+ minutes. That said, Kane was a fucking monster again last night.

Hawks controlled large portions of the game especially towards the end of the 2nd and 3rd. Bad rebound and a brutal turnover were the difference. Teemu wasn't going to miss that chance.
