One of the worst periods we've had offensively all season. The Wild are back checking relentlessly and the Hawks are just too slow. They need to speed up the game with their decision making when it's 2 on 2 on the rush. Basically, the Wild are playing playoff hockey and the Hawks aren't. Hopefully we pick up the pace.

Typical limp-dick start to the playoffs. Very reminiscent of last season, only the Wild are a far worse team than the '12 Coyotes. I think the period break is absolutely the medicine they need to let their nerves settle.

No excuse for it, since most of the roster's been here before, but that's just how shit goes.

It's like they haven't played a truly meaningful game in weeks...which they haven't. Couple that with a lot of guys sitting out the final game and that's my explanation for a lackluster period. Expecting a much better effort in the 2nd
