Stalberg in white jersey today...Bollig in black. Words don't exist to describe how I feel about that.

Dont know how you keep Bolland in the lineup and bench Stalberg. Both have been bad but Bolland brings absolutely nothing . At least Stalberg is fast.

While also true - it is BOLLIG who is on the ice practicing. Criminal if Q puts him on the ice for the Stanely Cup Finals.

Current line up is 7-1 in their last 8 games playing against two different style of teams. This is Q overcoaching.

I understand that, my point was how do you keep playing BOLLAND when he's been by far the worst forward on the ice for the Hawks.

Agree 36 has been awful. He probably had his best game all playoffs Game 5. We ( as in fans) could really use a vintage Dave Bolland for the finals.

Apologies - thought you misread Bollig as Bolland and wanted to point out that it was even worse than you may have thought :D

My guess is he wants another big body to hit Charra over the head with a stick and get suspended?

This makes no sense at all. You don't need grit vs Boston, you need speed. Stalberg has been bad but his speed always makes him a threat. Just stupid.

Why would Q want to replace Stalberg & his speed with Bollig & his 5 minutes of ice time? This makes no sense. Bolland has been the worst player on the ice for the Hawks, not Stalberg.

Top two lines in practice are Sharp-Toews-Hossa and Bickell-Handzus-Kane.

Wtf is going on? Kane and Toews are beast together, the last two games proved this. Why change? I feel like a joke is being played on me.

Well. I think he's wrong, but he has a ring and I don't.

My best guess is that he's assuming that splitting 19 and 88 up will get one of them away from Chara, but the problem with that is Julien will likely counter by throwing Chara against the first line and Marchand against the 2nd.

I rather see 88/19/29 on the top line and force Julien to use both his best defensive options against that line and see how 2nd and 3rd pairings like Sharp/Hossa/Saad etc.

Yeah I dont know why you weaken 2 lines. Like Mac was saying, make them adjust to you, not vice versa. I watched a lot of that Bruins / Pens series, Chara had a ton of giveaways . The guy is human , he makes mistakesand when he does have your 2 best players out there to capitalize on them.

Especially at home with last changes. Can get top line out against better matchups.

This is probably all a lot of hand wringing for no reason as we know how Q likes to shuffle lines.

Nick Lidstrom isnt even a fucking pimple on Bobby Orr's ass. The fucking award should be named after Orr. Its not even close. Lidstrom is in the tier below with a bunch of guys like Borque, Potvin,Robinson.

Damn it Q, quit trying to be clever and stick with what works. Brandon Bollig is fucking worthless.

When you put Kane on a line with Bickell and Handzus you're just taking away his speed. Kane/Toews and Hossa/Sharp give you two speed lines.

I also would have stuck with Bickell/Toews/Kane and let Boston use all it ebergy and effort to stop that line. We are so deep that then the other lines could feast.

Maybe this is all a ruse to get in Boston's head?

One would think that after he fucked around in the Wings series at first that he would just stay the course until he needed to make a change. If he juggles lines and the Hawks lose he is going to be burned at the stake.

He said he was leaving for FL for a little while I believe. I think he said he needed to take a msg board break.

I think it was a big picture type thing. Just needed to disconnect.

Hate to leave you guys on a down note such as this game, but oh well.

I'll be vacationing/business-trippin' balls for a few days, and so my internet access will be limited, and when I do have it, I'm going to try not agonizing myself with message board nonsense for a change. It comes at a good time, personally, because I haven't felt like myself for a few weeks now. There's been a little real-world stuff giving me trouble, but nothing getting to hang out in Florida can't fix, and so figuratively shocking the system a little might be good for my mental health (better than ECT, which would be literally shocking the system). Worth a shot, if nothing else. It's lame that I have to try taking a board break to get my spirits back up, and it's lamer that I'm not only making a leaving post but hijacking a perfectly good thread to do it, but this seems to be where the party is, and people would probably ask why I'm not posting for Game 4. So I'll just pull myself out of the muck here and semi-quickly be back to making B&B avatars, and complaining about commercials about blues music, street fests, and CHEESEBURGERZZZ.
