I just hope it's not going to be like last year where they bank a lot of points by Christmas/New Year's and then decide to call it a season three months early, because that was annoying.

One thing to be said for working late. Glad I missed most of this shit show.

I think it's clear this team is looking forward to the holiday shutdown and their trips to Vegas/bahamas/Cancun/etc

naw, you can't blame tonight on that. Looking at the evidence in hindsight, tonight's performance should've been easily predicted.Their good friend/equipment guy dies of an OD Sunday morning, leaves behind 4 kids. They find out and have to play a few hours later, adrenaline takes over and they have one of their best games of the year. Over the next couple days the reality of your friend dying sets in and come Tuesday you have no desire or energy to play at the level you need to play at to be competitive in the NHL.

The Christmas break couldn't have come at a more needed time for this team.
where you getting that from?

Shakes is in the community (no no, not The Community!). I'll believe him on this one.

Sleeping pills, maybe? They got home at 2 in the morning and had to do it all over again that day.

Latest report on Reif was that the coroner was not doing an autopsy, but waiting for toxicology reports. :(

I don't have anything empirical on this, but I'm pretty sure DuPage County loves prescription pills the way fish love water.

no inside scoop on this, just basing it on the coroner requesting a toxicology report and not an autopsy. Also, no one is talking about what happened....I've asked a couple people and everyone is hush hush for now which makes me suspicious.

I'll find out for sure next time I play hockey at Johnnys with my teammate with the last name Wirtz....assuming it isn't already public knowledge by then.

I'm guessing heroin, although prescription pills is a good guess since he would've probably had access to that working for the Hawks, but its hard to OD from those unless its on purpose which is why i'm thinking heroin. Doubt it was an upper since he wouldve been trying to get to sleep ASAP since he had to work the next day.

Heroin. God, that's sad. I'd rather it be some complication from pills than that.
