I dont for a second believe that Bettman isnt thrilled that the Hawks are in the finals. After Tampa Bay beat New York, you bet your ass that NBC, the NHL and the media is thrilled that Chicago beat Anaheim.

Like I said, I know better... it was the second game in two nights, and no Kane. But Bishop and Stamkos were both impressive enough for me to add a game... 7 instead of 6.

And I don't gamble much at all, certainly not on hockey where I'm far more of a casual fan who has only a rudimentary knowledge of strategy.

Speaking of strategy, Jon Cooper is supposed to be a very good coach. I haven't really seen it firsthand, but everyone is raving about him. I know he had great success in the AHL before replacing the fired Guy Boucher. Not sure he's as good as Babcock/Quenneville/Sutter.

That's heavy.
Almost not worth wagering, but I put in a bit just for funsies.

Hawks were -140 v. Preds, -140 v. Wild and -110 v. Ducks

Is the -160 inflated or accurate? I say inflated. I don't think the Rangers are any worse than Tampa and I bet that line would have been -140.

It is inflated. Lots of money going in on Hawks. I wonder if the price drops once Wednesday arrives and some sharps drop on Tampa...

Bettman's not too bright. Best, ratings-wise, would've been Rangers vs. Hawks. Because you know, Preditors versus Ducks is what America wants to see... (dope)

Bettman didn't really say anything objectionable. He didn't really commit to one side over another. Par for the course with him.

I'm getting -135 right now at 5dimes.eu.

Stated in another thread...Hawks in 6.
I think it should be 5, but this Tampa team is very good and will give us some headaches.

Bishop gave up 5 or more goals in 3 of the games against the Rangers. I expect the Hawks to light him up at least a couple of times.

Breaking down the numbers....some of those games they only had 24 shots on him....bad bad ratios for bishop across the board. The defense has done well at blocking the shots, but Bishop hasnt been great.

Look at about 10 key games and his best game was in November...at the UC...Hawks took 39 shots and he allowed 2 goals...

I am locked in on the Hawks to win series, hawks in 5 at 4-1, Saad to Score first goal at 13-1 and Hawks to Score over 2.5 goals tonight...

I dont know if this is a saying in Hockey or not....but LET'M FLY BOYS! Shoot Shoot Shoot
