Yeah, kinda wish we could send him down to Rockford to see if he can find his game a little, but that would mean calling up Leighton, and not only would he be no better at the NHL level than Darling has been, he'd have to clear waivers on the way back down. Kinda wish teams could offer minor-league two-way contracts where the primary assignment is to the affiliate and the callup is just a bonus, thereby...waiving the waivers? That doesn't sound elegant, but you get what I mean.

Could also just be that Darling was lightning in a bottle and he's done. It wouldn't be the first time. Remember Jim Carey?
