Wow. Unreal. The Blackhawks have played 11 periods of Hockey in their last 2 games. I didn't think anything could top game 7 of the Kings series...& then this. Boston has more weapons & skill that the Kings, but the Bruins aren't beating this Hawks team.
Kudos to Bolland for playing his ass off tonight after a terrible season.
Crawford will be the cup MVP.

God this is fun.

I love Doc Emerick.

Ugh I do not want to be up. But happy Hawks pulled it out. :)

Blackhawks goal scorers. Saad, Bolland, Oduya, Shaw. If the secondary guys are going to do that, no way Bruins can win the series. Or if the Hawks could maybe, you know, actually have some semblance of a power play that would work too.

It's not as bad as it would be if they lost.

Somewhere earlier in this thread I think I was on this line of thinking for the series. If Boston spends all that effort on our 1st or 2nd lines to neutralize them our 3rd-4th are clearly superior.

Has anyone confirmed whether Chára and Vlad Rad have been seen at the same time in the same place?

Corsi and Fenwick tracked over the game with major game events.

Enjoy both Corsi and Fenwick flat-lining over each Hawks power play. Hilarious.

Shaw was mic'd up for his game winner. It's the best.

I hope that Toews is hurt, because if he isnt, you gotta wonder what is going on with him. 1 goal in 18 playoff games is unnacceptable...and he is regularly losing board battles and when he has the pick he can't find open ice.
But this team is do damn good that they can win without their stars.
The future looks bright for the Hawks with youngsters like Shaw, Saad, Leddy and Crawford.

I was talking to a friend about Toews today. He told me he read a blog by some guy who attended the 5th game against LA. He said during warm ups, Toews did not take one shot. Wondering if he doesn't have some kind of arm/hand issue.

I would think something is wrong because I dont care how tight the playoff checking is, with as much ice time as he gets and as good as he is, to have only 1 goal in 18 games is off the charts unbelievable. He does have sort of a track record for not scoring a lot of goals in the playoffs last couple years though so its hard to figure if he just gets waaaaay tight during the playoffs, is hurt, or the other teams center is just that good.

Playoff beard question.
Can I trim it do I have to let it grow wild? I do not mind the itching but mine is getting out of hand. I look like a stew bumb on lower Wacker.

I shaved my beard into a stache after Hawks went down 3-1. Felt like a hipster burrito or Geovany Soto. It's grown back in thankfully

Leddy has been quiet but I have no doubt that he will become a Defensive stud for the Hawks for many years to come.
Whats up with Seabrook & all the blowouts? During the last game my 20 year old Daughter said that Seabs falling down could become a drinking game. This might be his last year with the Hawks.

Hey all. I'm feeling great, relaxed, mostly tanned, and have some sense of accomplishment, which is always nice.

Great game the other night, but they'd better not keep me up till 1 in the morning again. My mom called me on Friday to say she watched the game. Her words, honest to God, were "the players for Boston are SO BIG! They look so big and MEAN!" So yeah. My mom is Pierre McGuire.

I shall be watching the game with an acquaintance tonight. Sushi will be served. I have never had it before. I hope I don't make an idiot and/or mess of myself; this whole evening is maybe hopefully kind of important. Here's hoping for a nice regulation win and tasty sushi.

Oh, and Seabrook isn't going anywhere, unless you happen to maintain a stay-at-home defenseman vineyard out in Batavia.

Glad youre doing well CH, disagree on Seabrook. He's been bad going on 2 seasons now and outside of scoring a couple goals in these playoffs, hasnt been good defensively. Seems to be shying away from physicality anymore and commits a lot of turnovers / failures to clear puck. Im sure those guys are fairly easy to find and it might be time to work a trade while other GM's think he's still good.

Give him an offseason to get himself sorted back out and evaluate from there. The problem is that we don't have anyone to fill his role -- other than Dylan Olsen, whose ship has probably sailed if he couldn't get a single look in a season where Sheldon Brookbank was allowed to dress for a handful of games -- and with the cap being a tight squeeze as it is, you're not going to be able to sign or trade for a top-pairing S@H at something less than $5.8MM. You'll have to be patient with him. Bolland, too.
