If it's true that Stan Bowman signed Kunitz and Manning to trap Quenneville into playing crappy veterans so he could fire him (I'm not subscribed to The Athletic but I guess a Scott Powers interview alluded to this?), then Bowman should be fired as well. What a fucking dumb stunt. What has it gotten us?

To say he "deserved crappy veterans" is off base. He deserved the best roster he could get, just as any coach does. Now Quenneville is gone but Kunitz is still here getting paid to eat (well, technically, both are). GOT 'EM, I guess.

Go look at their contracts. They are not going anywhere. Gotta hope that there are a couple compliance buyouts with the new CBA and Rocky is willing to write a big check. In Keith's case, if he doesn't go on LTIR the Hawks will have some huge bullshit, recapture penalties.
