Nobody else will see it. :P

Why are you giving them another season?

This game was draining, but yes they do it too often.

What pisses me off more than anything is that there was a clear opportunity here for this to be a statement game. Torres clocks Hossa and the team comes out with a chip on their shoulder. About midway towards the end of the 2nd the bottom falls out and poof - they're skating corpses.

Crawford continues to be his normal mercurial self, but he held his own early. The problems that plague this team (horrifying special teams and no depth anywhere) are glaring and bleeding all over the ice.

Because I figure that after the post-Cup cap purge, they were gonna need a couple of years to regain a semblance of depth. Doesn't look like they will be able to do a lot, but I figure three years worth of moves should be plenty to start pointing fingers as needed.

They're also contractually entangled with Crawford and Emery through next year. They need a massive enema of the lower half of the roster and must improve depth 100 fold going into next season. Otherwise they're spinning their wheels.

They lack intensity even from their "core" players. They get pushed but there is never any pushing back. Not physically, not on the pp, not anywhere.

Well, they wouldn't be contractually entangled with Emery if they didn't just re-sign him. Sure, it's not a huge hit, and maybe he's just going to be a security blanket for the offseason, but is Bowman really thinking Emery is the best option at that spot for next season?

Exactly. According to Eddie O that's a good thing. Can't see how.

Torres says he was just finishing his hit.

I hope he dies.

Torres shown after the game wishing Hossa well, then pussying out of further questions.

Fucking cocksucking piece-of-ratshit.

Canucks fans are hockey-retarded, which is sad, considering where they're from.

If he was willing to pay him, I can only assume so. He's passable depth. Hawks have much, much higher needs next season for money that they would spend on a high-end goalie anyway.

And of course, Q's gonna get fined for criticism of the officiating.

Maybe Shanny'll suspend him as well.

Calling the ref a disgrace.

He may get penalized more than Torres.

Do you think Torres should get more games than Shaw did?

It would be fitting if Torres avoids suspension and Quenneville gets fined/Hossa goes to IR.

Agreed - they have more pressing needs, but I would think they could improve the backup position without spending a lot of money. Emery is a 40-year old 29-year-old.

Someone call B&B tomorrow and say this would have been a different game with Shaw...and Hossa.

Torres should get the duration of this season's playoffs, and then through the first ten games of the regular season.

The league office is going to have to start taking a scorched earth approach when it comes to this stuff. I'm talking suspensions starting at 20 games for intent. That's the only thing that will act as a deterrent.

It's good when you draw penalties and avoid incurring them. Unfortunately, when you can't do anything on the power play, it does you no good to be that passive.

Coach Q stepping up to the plate tonight. He's doing a Foley-quality shoot on these officials.

That's my point. If you are getting pummeled score, if you can't score pummel back. It's like they get punched in the face, stand there and say ow, then stand there and wait to get punched in the face again.
