Looked up Pierre's history. 5 or 6 years as an assistant coach. One year has a head coach for Hartford. Never played in the NHL from what I found.

I never got that story straight. Did he go to rehab? He's off the sauce? I think I heard that. Didn't believe it. He's still a big boozer, right? Just isn't a drunken fool in public anymore, right?

What got him straight was the time he spent in Europe with his mom. She rode him hard. He seems to have gotten the big time hard core partying out of his system. He is still a kid but he seems to have matured faster than I thought.

I liked what I saw so far. Gotta stay out of the box from here on out, as that Washington power play is clearly lethal. And Christ, Holtby wanders around like a child at the zoo. This has to be good for at least one more goal, right?

I thought Kane looked fine, Beardown. His face looks a little thinner. He sure looked healthy scoring that goal.
