OMG watching the post game and the locker room presser with Kaner and some dumb broad asked him this beaut....

Dumb Broad: "Patrick is that your first overtime game winner?"
Kaner: "What's that?"
Dumb Broad: "Is this your first overtime game winner?"
Kaner: "Uh, I'm gonna have to check that. I think I got a couple."
Other reporters: laughter

You know what... Good for him not making her a complete embarrassment like some might have.

He learned from Jarome Iginla and "setting up the play."

Geez glad off work tomorrow. Watched that goal a few times now. The announcer is right. He is not Sid but Kane has the sweetest hands in the NHL.

Bickell is frustrating because we want him to be a snarling power forward or at least a guy who winds up a killer slapshot often, and he doesn't really do either.

I'm not happy about this. I have to be up early tomorrow. If they go to triple overtime just to lose again, I'll be beside myself.

I just want him to park his big ass in front of the fucking net and do exactly what he did to score tonight. Instead he wants to be some sort of Patrick Sharp finesse / sniper type and play on the edges . Makes no fucking sense. If I were Q Id bench his ass everytime he wasn't in front of the net in the offensive zone. Look at how Shaw scored 20 goals this year, or what Byfuglien used to do. That should be his role but he doesn't seem to want to do that and I cant understand why not.

Anytime 10 and 81 want to show up this series would be great.

Forgive me for not posting during the recent games, but I have been watching them at bars.

I still can't believe how easily the Hawks give up the lead, especially at the end of periods. What a complete letdown. They are also going through long stretches where they look lost. I attribute that to constant line juggling.

In any case, it's nice to have this series tied up. The play has largely been sloppy, but it is still fun to watch.

Bickell's goal is reminiscent of Kane's goal against Nashville during the first Cup run. Looked like they were going to go down in the series and face an elimination game and boom, they win a game they shouldn't have won and were on their way. Lets hope this has the same effect. Nice for St Louis to blow a late lead. After their collapse last year Im sure theres some doubt creeping in. Man just get game 5 on the road and come home and clinch. The game is afoot again boys.

QFT. shakes, to his credit, has been a Kaner champion all along, even when Kaner was shitting the bed :D...

Kaner, beginning with last season, has matured into the player that we hoped. He now has a track record of not only playing smart, but making the big play when they need it most. He carried the team on his back during the OT last night (which, two/three years ago, could not have been said), yet gave Smith credit for getting him the puck on that final goal.

I'm gonna give both a pass, for now. Sharp at least has been firing, just nothing to show for it, yet. Bad shot selection, maybe? Hossa's had Ott on his back the whole series - as a matter-of-fact, St. Louis has played extremely tight defense. It's not like anyione on the Hawks has been on fire the previous three games, although Kane finding that next gear yesterday bodes well for the next game.

The fact that Shaw is so willing to do that, yet Bickell, I thought, was paid the money to be "the net guy" after last season, makes me mental. I totally agree, and that may be why he did sit toward the end of the season.

He's not a regular season guy. He steps it up in the playoffs. NBA mentality I guess.

Claude Lemieux is the most famous case of that, except Bickell goes from bad to good whereas Lemieux went from good to possessed by ravenous hellbeasts.

Gotta think the Blues are feeling tons of pressure after going up last year 2-0 on the defending champs and then losing 4 straight.

Hawks need to come out firing tonight and watch the blues wilt

Agree. I would love to see another quick 2 goals in 1st and not back off. You can reside in Miller's head. One thing I think you cannot say about Crow.

Miller hasn't exactly been the stopper they thought he'd be , has he?

It was so nice to watch hockey with the Wings/Bruins, Avs/Wild and Kings/Sharks and not have a desire to throw up. Please please please could we have a calm nice 3-0 Hawks win for the love of God.

No I laughed at Blues fans on another site I was looking at. All saying the Miller trade guaranteed them the cup. He is good of course and not Fleury or Luongo in the head but geez.

He forgot how to protect the short side on the flight from Buffalo to St. Louis, evidently.

Looks like the blues brought their "fall down when anyone touches them" pants tonight.
I have seen Oshie fall down two other times other than the penalty.
