Kaner was jacking it on D the night they lost to Florida in OT as well. Until he feels like they are actually building and developing something with this team this is what you are going to get from him.

Lankinen with another solid performance. 41 saves and a shoot-out loss. Might be a better option than Subban or Delia.

When you have two starting goalies, you have no starting goalie. When you have three, does that mean you have -1?

Early in season. Lankinen clear number one goalie at this point. By this small body of work metric Subban is number 2 ahead of Delia. Personally I still trust Delia for number 2. We'll see when Jeremy makes up his mind.

Radio stream only for me again. But I was encouraged by the outcome, even though the Blue Jackets were on the second half of a back to back.

1. Lankinen seems to have stopped the bleeding, and at least deserves five or six more starts to see if the league is able to find a flaw through scouting.
2. The fourth line seemed to be doing good things all night.
3. It sounded like Kane was paying attention and involved, although I couldn't tell if he actually played any defense.

I get Janmark and Wallmark mixed up. And every time I hear Suter's name called I think of Brent.

Still an enjoyable listen when they are at home, the monitor feed is a much tougher listen for road games. I'll be able to watch this week's second game at Detroit on ESPN+, so that'll be good.

Another really good game by Lankinen tonight. Another #1 star, two in a row.

Again, just listening, but Kurashev seems to be meshing well with Kane.

Lankinen has been a very pleasant surprise. Probably time to put Subban away for a little while and keep it down to Lankinen and Delia.

He's our third undrafted Finnish goalie, is he not? (Or is he just from northern Minnesota?)

Y'all missed a good game last night. Lankinen solidifying Crow Jr status.

I have not got to watch much so far. How has the defense been so far? Better than last year?

Carolina is a good team, closer to Tampa than Columbus, even with Mrazek out. If they can get 8 points against Carolina this season they should feel good about their development.

I'm looking forward to going to one or both of the back to back games down here in Carolina in early May, if fans are allowed in by then.

Better would be a stretch.

That’s impressive, giving up 2 scores in the first minute of second.

They’ve been a bit more aggressive on pp than they were in past. On the 5 on 3 they ran all forwards. Definitely no 2Dman packages.

Dude's head bounced off the ice like a kickball.

Good win

I had something like that happen a few years ago when I was working on some skating. Back of my head bounced off the ice. My helmet actually blew apart on impact. Scary shit.

If Subban could actually catch the puck it would've been a 1-0 shutout, many fine saves!
PP on fire!!!

I thought when they went down 1-0 in the first it was going to get away from them. Dallas looked faster and had a lot of energy. Still can’t see it lasting but it has been a good 10 game stretch for them after that abomination of the first 4 games down in Florida.

For all the talk of Kane taking the year off in spirit, I don't think he has it in him to let the team be as all-time bad as the roster and coach would have led us to believe.

Kaner was visibly upset with himself over a weak ass clearing attempt late in the 3rd. Rarely have I seen him upset over a defensive miscue.
Pius Suter made up for his own double defensive miscue in the first that led to Dallas' goal.
And good coaches' challenge by Colliton on Benn's goal.

I'm stunned at how well they are playing defensively of late.

Will be interesting with Murphy being out a couple weeks. Shaw going on concussion protocol... probably should hang it up with how much time he missed from concussion last year.

Two rookies scoring their first career goals tonight.
